Ah you bring up a good point. I feel like even though they are like that though, overall it at least lets you see things from other possible angles. Too bad people are either too offended by the first act, or immediately claim bullshit that they don't think about the ideas that the video is trying to present. They could've presented it in a more open-minded manner like say.."We don't think that 9/11 as we know it is how it happened..but, maybe it is, it could be. but maybe not." but then that doesn't sound very convincing. I think they have to be somewhat assertive to get people's attention, ya know?

Well here's my idea for the kind of format they should use.
Something like "Here's the official story. Now here's some facts (and they should use real, verifiable facts) that may be counter to the official story. What do you think?"

Eh, a fellow Canadian from NS. Nice to see people who live in this province exist on the internet. I live out in Elmsdale but this is irrelevant to the topic at hand.

Anyways, yes I see where you're coming from. I did read a lot of the material posted as sources for zeitgeist. Too much to just simply recall however, I really don't want to force myself into writing a book just to prove an insignificant point. I agree with you as well, I should be the one providing proof however to be quite honest with you, I am far to lazy. I went through the information for myself once, and I'm really not willing to do it again unless its for a project of some sort mainly 'cause it's a lot of damn reading, it really is. Hopefully you understand my perspective on that.

First, I agree that it's always cool to see another Nova Scotian on the internet.

Now, for laziness, I definitely know where you're coming from. I've been there many times.
Just as a friendly suggestion, I'll say that if you're entering into a debate, you should always be able to source what you say. If you can't source it, or choose not to due to laziness, you should stick to opinion, and make it clear that it's just opinion.
I try to abide by that myself.

Words to live by; a point you take hours to get across can be completely destroyed by someone who says "And just what is your source for this information?" Stumbling about and saying "Um...I've read all the books and stuff I swear it's legit" ...is just not going to cut it.

This documentary is probably one of the best ones ever made in regards to disproving Christianity. I know with a comment like that, a lot of Christians are going to be a bit anal over it because a lot of Christians(Not all) are striving / struggling to keep their own belief's / religion in-tact from atheists such as myself, and movies that have been made by atheists about religions such as Christianity, but thats quite obviously what I believe.

Who ever says facts about religion cannot be backed up from Zeitgeist either:

1) Knows nothing about religion(I don't mean to insult anyone)
2) Haven't checked Zeitgeist's sources. (http://zeitgeistmovie.com/sources.htm <-- Found here, with a lot of highly renowned books on Religion.

Yes Christians, we know you want to defend your religion, which is noble and perfectly acceptable. But don't bash a good documentary when they present only facts and empirical knowledge and essentially call it bullshit because it goes against your belief's.

I've checked into a lot of the sources Zeitgeist posted on their site, all of which so far have been valid. I suggest you do the same if you don't believe me.

You realize that tons of those sources are other conspiracy theorists, correct? I saw Alex Jones's name in the credits (one of the most prominent conspiracy theorists in the world) and knew what kind of movie I was dealing with.
So it's one crazy dude quoting a bunch of other crazy dudes.

Who wants to hold hands with this sicko malnutritionist soaked in Newspeak?

[Explanation] For starters though, Alex Jones is definitly not for the anti-religious stuff in the start of Zeitgeist - he has stated to be a Christian himself. Either way, Alex Jones backs his stuff up with a lot more evidence and reasoning and a lot less condescending "WE'RE RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG" than Zeitgeist.

[Opinion] I do have a problem with parts of Alex Jones' things, but Dark Secrets Inside the Bohemian Grove is mostly just pure footage with some commentary, rather than a well edited film. Endgame, his latest movie, has a very interesting part about the history of the world and how history is simply repeating itself.

I am not sure if I am posting in the right section, and Im also not sure if anyones posted about this before, I did a search and returned nothing.
I feel very strongly that everyone should watch this video. Please, for humanity's sake, watch it.
This video basically shows that many religions are plagiarized. It also proves that Bush is a power hungry maniac, and he caused 9/11.
I havent a whole lot more to say, other than watch it, understand it, and spread the word.

www.zeitgeistmovie.com

I dont know how I can stress this enough, all I can ask is that you take 2 hrs out of your life, and watch this video. It may even change your life. If there are any questions feel free to ask I will try to help answer.

thats the part of the movie that I still don't get, why make such a big deal of the fact that christianity borowed some stuff from other religions. I mean why the hell is that important, almost every religion in the world past and present stole some stuff from other religions. You can't just expect that a bunch of people living on the same place as around 3 oter major religions would come up with something new all by their own, that is basicly imposible, the influences are to strong. oh and the romans basicly did copy-paste the greek gods with some roman names thrown in every now and then and no one complained...

Not to mention, some of those civilizations had no contact with each other whatsoever. Doesn't saying a bunch of isolated societies came up with the same thing on their own actually support it?

the reason to make such a big deal of the fact that Christianity and other religions borrowed stuff, is because that would mean the stories are just made up, and they are fake. People base their lives around these religions, and do exactly what they think theyre expected to do. They are living their lives based around lies, its a way of controlling people. Just like 9/11, Bush struck fear into the peoples eyes in order to get them to support his agenda. Many people are being manipulated and they should be aware of it.

man, shit like this makes me weap for the future.

look i'm gonna try and break it all down nice and simple and polite so as not to get banhammered here...

you need to grow up.

this sort of immature crap about OMGZ CUNSPEARASEE 9!1 R TEH GUVRMNT...

please stop

you are embarrasing yourself.

yes, religions today are mearly the remnants of past forms of controling the population. but we've become more aware of this, and on a whole, people are finding religion to be a needless mental occupation. socioty is self regulating like that. over time, with science and technology, people start to find that you don't need to throw virgins in volcanos everytime there is an eclipse to appease the moon god. and sooner or later passing the collection plate, eating crackers, and drinking cheap wine will be seen as equally pointless and worthless. but let people believe what they want. it keeps them from throwing thier fecese at each other, helps keep the cages clean. it's nice to be one of the "enlightened" ones who can see religion for what it is, but at the same time who gives a fuck if others are not. you make it sound as if you are on some sort of crusade to prove religion wrong. you started a thread about it FFS. it's almost as bad as the assholes who sit there and preach to you about how you should accept/embrace thier religion.

you are just trying to shove your favorite flavor of indoctrinement down thier throats, as it has clearly been smashed down yours.

this whole 9/11 conspiracy horseshit is fucking lame and immature. the onlypeople i ever see talking about it are either very young, or very stupid, or both. for the love of god, don't subscribe to that cult.

there are tons of debates on this forum, in this subsection, stomping the ever loving dog shit out of thiese stupid fucking 9/11 conspiracies. please go read them. you may just come back and delete this post afterwards. watching a brinwashing propeganda movie for 2 hours about the evils of religion and the bush administration has you fired up...i understand that...but understand this:

just because you watched a movie about something on the internet doesn't mean it's true.

do you know the kind of people who make these documentaries? basment dwelling freaks with no life and unfounded angsty emo hatred for bush. hating bush for a good reason is one thing but hating him becuase of alex jones or some other such tinfoil hat childmolester with editing software on his moms dell is lame.

getting passionate about things in life is a good thing, just stop wasting energy on shit thats either fruitless or imaginary and dilusional.

there will always be religion, and it will always be a scam in some way or another. but religion, on the whole, is a good thing for most people. it gives them hope, it gives them faith, and most of all it helps make them behave. in 100 years people will have woken up and cast aside these sociotal anchors, till then just live your life and let them live thiers. you aren't going to change the mind of a person who's been spoonfed thier belief system since birth.

just like they wouldn't be able to convince you the earth is 5000 years old and there's some magical omnipitent being in the clouds watching you fap in shower.

Wow, that romans and greeks comment at the end really exposed just how little of history you understand.
No offense.
