Does the guy even realise that the bombs could've killed anyone on that bridge, including Jews, because the Allies didn't even know if the bridge was safe or not? Also I don't think the bombers would get that far into Nazi territory without being spotted.

...wow. I doubt this would even make it to the courts as chances are it will just be thrown out (if it doesnt i would seriously reconsider the effectiveness of teh US court system).

Now - I agree with their motives, but disagree with their actions.
I think that if there could have been anything to save lives REGARDLESS OF RELIGION/ETHNICITY/ORIGIN/WHATEVER, and it got ignored by the US government, nothing can be done now, so it's not entirely necessary to sue them.
On the other hand, the US government COULD have done something at that time.

This argument has raged since people knew about the bridges/railways. They were too far into German occupied territory, our resources were stretched to the limit and no matter of moaning and arguing would change that.

It's terrible but alot of resources would have been expended in taking them out, only for them to be re-built or diverted anyway.

No. It's trying to sue them for not trying harder to save lives.

There is this document, iirc, that includes this matter. It was sent to the US government, but they didn't do anything.

Again, I'm not siding with those suing, but I can't say I don't understand what they're saying.
