watching this makes me laugh..and i mean falling off of my chair laugh..they cut off the only person there who knows what he's talking about and has PLAYED the game just to talk about some bull crap nonsense about a video game..HELLO LADY?! what if porn entered the household!! That's JUST as easy to watch as it is to play some video game..and far more damaging to a child psyche in my opinion. These people are idiots and are trying to ban every video game they can just so their children will stop knowing more about fun than they will. Maybe they should try some gaming. Life seems to slide by when yew game..truu story:)

Everytime I watch that clip, I get this vile taste in my mouth, and this rage starts to build up in the pit of my stomach. . .maybe it's gas. . .I dunno, but it's bad. ANYWAYS, it really pisses me off, EVERYTIME I watch it. You'd think that i'd STOP watching it, but I can't. The pure ignorance, is what gets to me. For a news network, and for a "professional" they really went in there uninformed. It was more a smear campaign then anything else. I understand thay they (most of them anyways), are parents, and all they really want is to protect their kids. I GET IT. But to blindly attack something without having any relevant information, isn't really setting a good examply for your children either. Now that being said, I don't agree with what some gamers said about them. lol! I'm sure she's not actually a whore and what not. lol! But she certainly felt the sting of the gamer nation. I find it absolutelyl hilarious, that we spend our time online, trying to shoot the shit out of each other (ie: Call of Duty 4, TF2, etc.), and sometimes we can be downright rude about it (lol rofl lol n00b fag lol *ahem* JEREMY) LOL! But when someone attacks the gamer community and it's games, we become this single force to stomp out injustice and media ignorance, well. . .for a while at least.

I notice not one of them admits to playing video games...ever. People like that shouldn't be allowed to judge anything about games unless they play them first. After watching this i can't help but to notice one distinctly large flaw with the mentality of that news crew. If those people would spend less time battling the software companies and more time explaining to children the difference between right and wrong they wouldn't even need parental controls. these type of people would rather blame microsoft for their messed up kids than they're own lackluster parenting skills.

Game journalist and one-time Kotaku guest editor Geoff Keighley tried to clear the air, but the network's panel and dime store Freud shrink Cooper Lawrence wouldn't listen. The internet got angry and spammed her book's Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble listings. Amazon.com has since turned off the comments and erased user added images for her book's page.

Seeing as this game (Sly edit, Mass Effect 2 I mean of course) comes out this month, bumping this thread seems relevant.

Do you reckon she was even old enough for the release of Pacman, or has even played Pacman for that matter? I found it hilarious that the "statistics chick" Cooper Lawrence had not even played the game herself. She's trying to argue about something that she hasn't even played, how could I possibly listen to one word that she says? It's like having a high-class food critic who's never eaten at a restaurant before come onto a tv show, for lack of a better example.

As for that nudity, I'm pretty sure that I can safely say that I've seen more nudity on daytime television and shows which have been aired on Fox in the past and given a US-TV rating of PG. Keighley has been doing his job for over 15 years, I think I'd value his words more than some random drone who I could care less about, a clearly un-neutral news anchor and a table of other tools who look like they'd belong better in a very, very dimly-lit room in a monastery.

I can only hope that Mass Effect 2 will contain the same standard of nudity (if you could even call it that, what with it being highly forgettable), and foil another witch-burning scenario.

Irony is i watch Fox News. Do i take everything they say as gospel? Hell no, but at least i can actually see and hear 2 opposing viewpoints unlike every other MSM outlet now that clearly leans left. Btw the hit job they did on Mass Effect was lame and I'm glad EA fired back but did any of you stop to think that FoxNews did a lot of good for the game by giving it free advertisement?

That's not ironic...and it's hard to argue that Fox News isn't extremely politically biased whether you like it or not. Also, I find it strange how so many Fox lovers bitch about the liberal media bias, yet it's okay to be biased as long as it's in their favor. And by strange I mean retarded.
