so im trying to save up money for my epic flyer but dont know the the best way to go about doing that. i hear that jewlcrafrting is an easy way to make money, so i took up mining and JC. my skills are very low on both of them so it will definitely take a long time. the other option is i can farm for motes of fire and turn them into primal fires. i dont know which would be the best way to go so i need some advice on this topic.

All you need to do is prospect, don't worry about cutting gems to make money. Prospect the ore and sell the blues. You'll make 5,000g very easily. I assume you already have the normal flying mount? Just circle BEM, some people go to Nagrand but it seems too spaced out for me.

yeah i have a normal flying mount. so i'll go with prospecting then, it seems like it will be less of a bore then farming nagrand for motes to turn into the ah. thanks for the help :-)

It's probably more boring
Repetitive...flying around in a circle hours on end. Whereas grinding motes you at least see some action.
Though prospecting is a much safer route also and no repair bills.

Don't even bother with your epic flyer until WoTLK, the price will go down.

I don't know if they still sell good but farming the bloodelfs outside black temple was always good money. Lots of greens and sell the sunfury signets and book things that are used for rep.

I'll let you guys on a little fire mote secret. ;]
In 3 hours I had 7 primal fire.
The southern forge camp in the Ogri'la area, has fire guys. No one on my server farms them, save for me. People around there are usually busyier killing the demons for their daily and generally leave me alone. There isn't alot of fire elementals there, but the drop rate I found is really high, usually 0.9 motes per elemental. Plus you can make the gold from selling the greys that drop to easily make back the repair bill if any. Just grind dailys and motes, prospecting if you want. Just have patience. If you know a mage friend, or if you are one then I recommend grinding the BE's outside of the BT. Just 'cause its a bit hard for a rogue to grind mobs in groups.
The key to getting your epic mount is patience, patience and patience. Eventually you'll have one. ^^

Lol I'm dagger raid spec with terribad daggers unfortunately, but yeah. Sold all my primal fire for 20 gold each on the auction hall within 10 minutes. Plus from farming the primal fires, you'll get stuck killing some of the Legion guys around, and they have a good chance of dropping a fel armament. A quick 10 G there.
So, good luck farming if you do.

Good bunch of ideas there, I'm not saying that any of them are bad but, what I find that works pretty good are daily's. Do those THEN start farming what it is that you farm.

I have beaten The Internet. The end guy was hard.

it's hard for me to do dailies unless i'm with someone to help me.
otherwise it's just boring.
plus if you have someone helping you the demon dailies are so much easier.

I never understood why so many people LFG for the Ogri'la dailies. Even on my Pally they are extremely easy

The only slightly difficult org'ila daily is the fel cannon stacks, without an epic flier it's annoying but do-able.

Engineering. 1-350 engineering took me 700g. From there, you can already make the mote extractor at 305 and the goggles at 350. Next you fly around nagrand (I go in a circular motion around the outside, at low pop times (late at night for example)) collecting airs. With a non-epic mount I get 8 primal airs per hour. In less than a week of casual farming (ie, couple hours) I made 1k gold. Of course, then a lot of stuff came up IRL and I've quit WoW since. However, Engineering is definitely a skill worth investing in. Not only do you get the perks of Engineering (T5-quality goggles, flying machines, all of the trinkets), you also get a mote extractor which can help you get financially on the board.
Editting just to add a few details: I'm a prot warrior. I don't like dailies such as banishing because it requires I kill stuff, which takes forever. Likewise I don't like killing stuff over and over, because it takes forever. Had I rolled a lock or a hunter (or another DPS-based class), I would have looked into such alternatives. I have the highest repair bills in raids, I die the most, I can't kill anything with swiftness (It honestly takes about a half hour to do banishing solo - not worth it for 10g), I usually respec twice a week for arena, and I don't really want to be bothered with another two respecs a week for fury farming. Imo, the mote extractor is the best way to farm if you don't want to kill stuff. You can also farm modes for mining whilst making gas cloud rounds.

One spot that I've noticed doesn't get farmed too often, at least on my server, is Skettis. Doing circles around the lake killing surgers I generally get a primal water every 10-15 minutes. You can count on getting at least 15g per primal. People there are generally more concerned with their bombing/escort dailies while there and generally wont pay you any mind, and if they do I've found that I can just bring underwater breathing pots and just farm the ones underwater (which is the majority) and go about my business relatively unbothered. I definitely wouldn't go with the "wait til WotLK" idea seeing as the x-pack won't be out for nearly a year. It's especially nice if you have gathering professions like herbs/mining. It would also be nice to come into the new expansion with the epic taken care of, so you can spend your money elsewhere.

If you're doing 1 primal every 15 minutes and getting 15g per, you're pulling in 60g/hour.
I was pulling in 100g/hour just fishing regular water (not pools) in Nagrand, and cooking up the bluefish and mudfish and auctioning them, vendoring everything else. So without any primary gathering trades, that was actually a fairly decent income.
Personally, I decided that having a gathering trade would be important, and I didn't want to drop tailoring or enchanting on my main, so I levelled an alt expressly for this purpose. Got a 'lock 1-70 and epic mounted in 16 days /played (and that was before the levelling speed increase) so that also might be worth considering...

Second you can do Netherwing daily's... You're rolling in gold, go figure eh? They give you the epic mount and give you the ability for 100G a day to do quests. At the end you even get a sweet dragon like mount ontop of all that.
