OK, some of you saw me post a thread like a week ago in crap about a community website for Australian Gamers (clicky clicky) well I figured that since it is really a general discushun kinda thing... (and I posted in crap only because the site wasn't really done yet) that I should post it here now that it's pretty much done. If people are interested go check it out and tell me what you think...

Also... should have I made one for everyone instead of just Aussies???

I like it, its a good idea and the site looks nice. One thing that bothers me is that it looks like there is a bukkake pic at the bottom of the page... wtf is with that?!?

Hell yeah I dident know what to put as the header... but as soon as I saw that kangaroo lying down picture I started laughing and had to use it in the picture...

The plan is to get enough people to join up to be able to do some little tornaments or at least organise some games and stuff... but at the moment I need more members so I just want to build up the community and get people active on the site.
There is a fully operational forum but at the moment i'm the only one posting there... I'v been posting site updates and game related news, which also shows up on the front page... actualy all new topics from the forum are desplayed on the sites front page... i thought it would make it easy for people to see whats happening like that, If they dont want to go through the forum.

If you join up you get your own fully customizable profile and you can also upload music and pictures and videos and shit (As in you can upload your own videos from your pc, or link to youtube or whatever)

I want to keep people active on the site, I dont want it to become just one of those sites that you sign up and log in once and then never end up going back...

So far we have 17 members

OMG NEVOR!!! ... I mean come on! it is an internationally well known Australian icon that's very recognisable to all people around the world... and funny as hell

yeah I know the forum is a bit weird, the categories are on the left hand side, so you can just choose one of those if you know where your going but in the middle of the page it shows some categories + the last few Discussions under each of them so you can go straight to a thread instead of going into the category and then the thread... it may be a little confusing at first but its actually very effective once you get used to it

well the idea behind it was to create a central place on the net for the Gamers of Australia to connect... at the moment we are all over the place without any central place to keep in contact... or make new contacts for that matter... I was hoping to provide something like that... so I dident really want it to be just a 'site' I want it to become a community... and I think it has the potential to do that...

no offence or anything...but im pretty sure you wont be getting all the WoW players/ Css players/ Other gamers (about...hm.......................................lets say...roughly............ummmmmmm 6..million ...ppl?) would join 1 website....ONE website....for that to happen, many advertising must be involved, ads, web ads, radio ads, shirts...good idea tho...

I was thinking of maybe making one for everyone instead of just Aussies... although there are other gamer communities out their I dont think there are any like this with the kinda myspaceish like profiles mixed in with forums, blogs, groups, and stuff...

actually now that i think about it... although it doesnt look like myspace, it is actually very similar in how it works with the profiles and friends system and blogs... and groups.... holy shit

anyway if anyone has an opinion on the site or an idea on what would improve the site please post it... im open to criticism
