Don't read if you havn't seen the movie icon_smile.gif

Ok, so I just got back from seeing it and 2bh OMG am I impressed. It was brilliant, from the script to the acting to the cinematography it was great. I had a few issues with inconsistancy but I'll let them slip (like the tumbler being able to crush an 18 wheeler like it did and it bein able to turn into the bat pod). What seperated this movie from EVERY superhero (part from Batman Begins) movie and in most cases every movie in general is the human dilemmas that the characters face, which is what alot of people really don't understand (eg the pwner), there are decisions in your life which are very hard and complicated to make and this movie does a fantastic job at bringing real human emotions into it, and to me that is without a doubt the hardest thing in movie making to accomplish.

TBH I can understand if people didn't think it was THAT good like I do, but if you rank it low then you deserve to be shot in the face multiple times because you're already dead inside. This movie could easily be something else without the batman title and you wouldn't dare say shit about it then, most of you are just hitting out at the fanboys.

I am sorry for being so harsh to some but its completely true what I have said and in no fucking way will I back down. I am not a batman fan, I am not biased, I am just a person with actual good taste in movies.

EDIT: This might not make that much sense cause I decided to party after I saw the movie and im a wee bit drunk icon_smile.gif

P.S. Tyler I want your babies.

It didn't have the Batman title, and use spoiler tags, and as Jaylew said most comic movies stray completely from the comics.
And like that, he was gone.

So can anyone explain what was up with like the first part of the movie? I mean it was just terribly edited. There hardly any transitions between scenes and lines of dialogue were cut to their most minimal limits. I was sitting in my seat going "wtf, why does everyone love this movie? Maybe it's me." And then right when trucks started flipping over, the pacing of the movie started to make sense. From that point on it was a non-stop action film that will have you screaming "YES!"

Also this movie has one of the best endings I've ever seen.

I'm pretty sure that most forum members will disagree that you have common sense.

There is no way The Dark Knight is a perfect movie. Just saying that you gave it a 10/10 it does not mean that it's perfect. Like I said most people don't use common sense when they vote they rather listen to the fan boy side of them and just give movies perfect scores, this movie is not perfect and no one has yet shown me that it is. All I've been hearing for the past 5 days is fanboys going crazy over Batman, or people who got caught up in all the hype and are also going crazy for this movie.

he's right it isnt perfect i'd say its pretty damn good. like 8.5-9.0 or something. It isn't perfect. i'd think you have awful taste in movies or seriously can't put 2 and 2 together. because there are things that don't completely add up. but i guess the average person doesn't see them or something...

He's just trying to say don't give 10/10 cuz thats the ultimate highest that only the best deserve. absolutely no flaws. Perfect.

There will never be a "best movie of all time". I'll be damned if I let some douche piece of shit tell me what they say is the best movie of all time. The Godfather has been #1 on IMDB for as long as I can remember and I fall asleep through the movie every time I try to watch it. I have yet to see the whole movie in one sitting. The "best movie of all time" would have to be a movie where the majority of the people agree with calling it that. I never see this happening so the "best movie of all time" will always be an opinion.

This is a little off topic, but why the fuck do you have to be a fanboy? Why can't you just play games for the sake of playing games? By saying "LULZ NO CONSOLES R 4 N00BZ LOLOLOL" you are missing out on a lot of great games. A great game is a great game despite the platform it is on.

I assume thats not directed at my post but to the dude who asked about the coin flipping? In regards to his post it would seem quite similar, the burned side of the coin represents the "evil" side of two-face where as the cleaner side represents the "good" side of him. The evil side kills and the good side doesn't, it's not exactly the same as the comics but IMO it suits the movie quite well.

EDIT: And for the record, this movie is classed as being very true to its roots, by the hardcore batman fans. If you can please them then I would say job well done.

EDIT #2: Tyler, sorry to tell you but I'm just using you, I've always wanted someone to have my quote in their sig. Nah only J/k'ing ofcourse I want your babies icon_biggrin.gif

This movie... was fucking good. It's insane that they can get some of the philosophical dilemmas people have been discussing for years (ideologists, anarchists, determinism, socialism, shit even women versus men, etc., etc.) condensed into a single movie. This movie did a fantastic job. The ideas behind the film were complex, but the incorporation of them into the movie were brilliant, seamless and effective.
I was wowed.
Long live the joker. A rational mad-man in his own way. Heath Ledger was fucking brilliant in this movie.

God damn, did we watch the same movie!? I have to go see this again, because the only philosophical... stuff I saw was with the Joker, which I really enjoyed. If there were more parts that were done as well in that aspect as the Joker's character, I'll really have to see this again and look for some.

If anything they'll use prosthetics, or the joker wont even be in the next movie.

But hey, they could pull a rachel dawes.

I'm not sure you understand what to look for in 'philosophical stuff'. The movie was filled with it. Moral Delema, the true nature of people, Love and Loss, they even had a philosophical discussion @ dinner.

Its more about the words than the actions, not all philosophy is a bunch of fancy words and ancient Greeks.

The Joker is in jail, and he's probably gonna stay there if they can't find anyone to recast as him(pretty sure they will, I'm even sure that there's some people out there that can pull off a better job). My favorite part to the movie though was when The Joker was falling off the building, I was looking at the screen and I was like "CGI, the Joker laugh" they did this scene after Ledger's death and he's gonna die... NOW! And it didn't happen lol. You can't really kill off the Joker, cause his talk with Batman at the end of the film is way too important.

which was scary

you don't see alot of movies where the recast actor in a sequel looks EXACTLY the same as the original actor
