duh, that was my point.

QUOTE (ST1DinOH @ Oct 13 2008, 01:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
taking money from future tax revenue to save failing companies is exactly what the dems want...more dependents, more taxes.
we should have let them fail.

fuck em.

you make bad decisions, you refuse to evolve, you refuse to adapt to the changing climate...you deserve to fail.

thats how it works.

This country IS NOT capitalist. We may LOOK like it, smell like it, taste like it, but once you get passed the candy coating we are just a pile of shit.

This culture is use to being the "new kids on the block" with "daddies trust fund" to back it up when we fuck everything up. Which is why I think that going more socialist would benefit the country, because we are composed of ignorant bastards and people who hate ignorant bastards.

If we were to become a TRUE capitalistic state, we'd end up separating, which is fine by me.

TBH my ideal system would be a complete dismantle of the federal government and then an over haul on the state system.

Each state would be its own country, all moral, social and criminal law would be passed on it going by the Constitution of the former USA. The economy would be a totally state driven system, but using the already established dollar still.

So essentially, we'd be like Europe, only in North America.

but since that will never happen... I don't really care anymore which side wins. they both have there ups and downs, I just like Obama better than McCain because McCain has a fat face..... that and he is a goddamn honey!

meh.

we will be fine so long as mccain gets in. it'd be the only thing stopping the extreame left from taking complete controll of the country. right now, things are kinda at a standstill, apparently thats what the masses wanted. they were pissed off at the republican congress for not doing enough, so they sent a edict to the hill and voted a lot of them out.

the end result was even more stagnation due to grandstanding.

with the left in controll they didn't try to acomplish anything, they simply focused on causing chaos to force the country over the cliff with bush in office. this is exactly what they wanted. historic low approval rating for a sitting president, yet even lower ratings for them.

they don't care, they just want to ruin everything so stupid people would blame bush and elect whatever lib puppet they shoved in front of us.

this year they pulled out the big guns, hoping the backlash from the steps they are taking don't nip them till after maobama is in office.

after that they have two full years to implement the shit they want like the "fairness" doctrine (see government controlled media).

what shocks me is that people are too blind to see the basic nature of everything that is happening.

everything the left talks about is exactly what communist marxist nations start as. socialism is simply communism-lite.

if the dems get there way we'll be the Weimar Republic. it'll take a wheelbarrow full of money to buy a loaf of bread. but thats ok they'll just keep printing more and keep raising the minimum wage and taxes...so long as the idiot masses keep getting the free table scraps they are happy and they'll keep pulling the lever for more and more socialism until they wake up one day with what came directly after that historical inflationary nightmare.

brown shirts for everyone...yeah

should be great to watch from my house north of 60, i'm not sticking around if it gets any worse. they won't steal my money.

hopefully a massive tax revolt happens to put a stop to this mess, but nobody has the balls. they'd rather keep paying into broken promises and "hope" and "change" with that stupid twinkle in their eye of a retard getting his morning applesauce.

NOM NOM NOM.

We may disagree on this particular matter st1din0h, but we can always agree that Nazis are bad.
How about this though. Say something does go wrong. Say it all falls through. The system collapses.
What then? You can hide out... or... you could rebuild something better. Something not democratic but new. Not communist. Nothing ideological, because what we are witnessing now is surely an ideology coming to a head against reality. And it's not holding up. So it's reaching inwards and coming up with green-stained hands.
So what would you do? Doesn't have anything to do with individuals anymore. It's all fallen down. What now? Obama or McCain are gone, McCain's semi-hot daughter is gone, Sarah Palin is still alive because she obviously doesn't have much going on in there anyway...
I say that's ideal. Mass panic... insanity... cultural fireworks. We'll turn to steam. Nothing could be better.
But that's just me. What do you say?

if i were to start my own country, i'd do the smart thing and just model it on the constitution.

it worked great until the socialists came along and fucked it all up.

the first settlers to this country tried to start with a socialistic government, they almost starved to death before they realized that capitalism is the only fair way to go. reward those who contribute to the community and it tends to motivte people to do so.

same goes for rewarding people for not contributing, it will always motivate people to not contribute.

i will never understand how this simple logic escapes so many people.

why? McCain is just as equally a power hungry egotistical psychopath as any other politician.

How is this going to effect anything? Where is this magic ball you people keep looking into that says "Obama will ruin the world... Obama is a terrorist... Obama is a Marxian lunitic..."

to be honest I can never understand your fear of socialism ST1DinOH.

sure it can never work in USA but its not like a hint of socialism turns you in to next Nazi germany / USSR.

at worse your economy will suffer for couple of years and then you will get right back to capitalistic style way of life you like. Why will your economy suffer? Simply because I do not belive that people who have only read what socialism is supposed to be in books could possibly make it happend in real life.

Imo going bit socialist should be your wet dream, for it will ensure that either :

A) USA turns in to a paradise on earth
B) USA abondons socialism as soon as it finds out that it simply does not work for it, and never goes back to it.

about as much as bush had when he had the senate and congress to himself I suppose....

This could be bad, but then again I trust Obama over GWB. I even trust McCain over GWB.

I'd trust a blind monkey with no arms and legs over GWB.

Plus, if Congress is one way and the President is another usually you never see anything get done.

Not all of us have the money or the time to make it through this and come out smelling like roses.

imo there is no reason that america should become federally socialist. At the state level, they can do whatever the hell they want and I will just move if I don't like it.

brown shirts for everyone...yeah

First, I will agree that the Democrat controlled congress has done a shitty job. Still, you can't honestly believe that Bush looking bad is a giant conspiracy against him. The man has fucked things up. People from all parties should be able to realize that.

Canada had the Liberal party in power for most of the 20th century, who among other things brought in various socialist policies. A Conservative PM implemented the NDP idea of national health care, and it's worked out great. We can have that work because our country isn't retardedly partisan, because that's bad for everyone and makes it impossible for real progress to be achieved, like in the States.
We have many socialist policies, and we definitely aren't a communist country, nor or we on the verge of it. We're not close to disaster, but rather, we have one of the best standards of living in the world. We have the best banking system in the world, and a capitalist economic system.

SOCIALISM IS NOT COMMUNISM.
I'm in favor of lower taxes, less regulation, and am not a socialist myself, but I'm not stupid enough to think that socialist policies are going to be the end of civilization.

I'm sure I'll get my head ripped off for this but, I'm going to point out to those saying how bad it'll be if a democratic congress comes to power. I believe that not so long ago we had a republican congress with all the power, and a republican president. The natural tendencies of voters is when one party isn't getting things done how the people want they go with other major party and it just swaps back and forth every so many elections. Its not going to be the end of the world, communism will not shoot out of your eyes, and business will go on as usual.

lol

the congress is ran by democrats right now, they have the majority, they have had the majority for the last 2 years.

they have accomplished NOTHING.

lowest rating in history.

so by your assumptions, republicans will sweep the house and senate this election.

also...

joe the plumber is my hero

the guy lives just down the road from where i buy my fireworks.

he's tearing the democrat's socialist agenda to itty bitty pieces.

the media has stepped directly on a land mine.

how long before the media begins to slander the guy???

anyone? anyone?

i say before the end of the week, say close of business friday, he will be called a "republican plant", or he will be attacked personally by at least one person from the main stream media network.

they were talking allabout the guy, they were beating his door down to get interviews, and all day yesterday he tore the dems apart about how their plan is bad for hard working americans who want to provide jobs to other hard working americans.

also how what we've done in iraq is a noble thing.

yeah i'd bet the news clips from those interviews would be hilarious to watch if you could see the look on the reporters faces...also not how the tone of the interview will change as soon as joe starts laying down the logic and smacking the fuck out of socialist agenda.

what a unique chance to see the media operate at it's best/worst.
