Though fairly close in the popular vote, it looks like Obama's doing quite well in the electoral college according to the latest polls.

This is exactly what has been going on through the entire thread, and it's not the first time either.
You come to us for advice..you just spell out what you want to get, and then ask us if it is okay, and we have to explain why it isn't. That's the world upside down.. If you would just say 'hey guys, I have an X amount of money, what should I buy?' Then this would be over in 2-3 posts, not 2-3 pages.

What the shit McCain?
Wasn't this already all debunked back in the goddam primaries?
Also, apparently pretty much daring McCain to bring up the "issue" in person is trying to hide it.

No it wasn't debunked because it IS true. He served with this guy and was good friends with him in the beginning of his career. Why do you think Obama has never publicly denied or debunked it himself? He simply ignores it and pretends it never happened.

Just like the whole reverend wright thing. Obama sat through that bullshit for 20 years and even called wright is mentor a couple times. Anyone who spends that length of time in a setting like that must share similar views. if obama didn't agree with him he would have left years ago. the only reason he denounced wright now is because of his campaign yet you are called racist and a right wing extremist if you ever bring that FACT up.

I hate to take the long-haired, so called "Liberal" route, but John McCain is pathetic. Relying on bullshit, half-assed, easily debunked theories isn't political in the least. Having a backing so stupidly brainwashed that they're frightened of the opponent is counter-productive. He's an egomaniac, his ambitions far outweigh his political abilities (reading one of his books was an exercise in patience), and, to be frank, his choice in VP is hilariously inept. He's out of touch, out of time and simply not good enough. If he gets voted in, he will die in office and SP will be up on top.
And then the States are even more fucked. Can't say I didn't see that coming, cough cough, but Putin would skull fuck the shit out of Palin in any debate of any merit at all. This isn't a fucking opinion. Sarah Palin is hopeless.

So yes, I would vote for Obama, despite the fact that his theories are a little weird. And he's not a terrorist. Stop being moronic. I don't really consider myself a "Democrat" (if I was even in the States) but I see through that. Stop inventing a reality. It's just juvenile.
Everything about John McCain right now reeks of eventual fail. Fuck the political system that allowed that slime to rise up.

first of all, many people, including myself, always hang up on a pollster. second of all, people are racist as fuck but they don't wanna come off as racist, so they tell the pollster they're voting for the minority. this happened in the california governor's race a few decades back. the black candidate for gov'r was in the lead in every poll, but he lost on election day.

True. If polls were accurate, we'd have had Kerry as president, no doubt.

The scaremongering surrounding Barrack Obama's past must be backfiring on the republicans, at least on some level. Even if you manage to scare the average joes away from voting for him the skeptism shared by more intelligent voters must do some damage.

For the Rev Wright thing, McCain actively sought and got the endorsement of a reverend who said Hitler was doing God's work. I don't think a guy who's a bit upset with some things his government is doing is worse than that.

wow...

where to begin...

none of the "republicans" who were on that board are now currently running for president of the united states. not that you could even name any of the republicans on that board...because they aren't in high government offices today, nor are they running for them.

the fact that ayers is "a professor now" is more a commentary on the horrible state of our education system, not some merit you should judge him by. i do believe that the uni-bomber was a professor wasn't he? so thats fail...

he is still very radical, in fact in 2001 ayers was quoted as saying "i wish we would have done more" when asked about the bombings and murders he incited and carried out against his own country. he's extremely radical, he's very anti-American, anti-capitalism, and pro anarchy. he's also extremely liberal and some of his concepts for the public school systems boarder on the insane.

nobody takes the guy seriously...

except chairman maobama, and foreign apologists who enjoy a good domestic terrorist so long as it's in America (see cowards).

maobama has now changed his story 7 times about ayers. his current stance is he believed ayers had been "rehabilitated" even though he was serving on the annenburg board with him before, during, and after ayers was made infamous again for saying "i wish we had bombed more".

maobama served on that board with ayers for years, he spent many nights engineering his political career at ayers home, even so much as launching his political career from his home.

ayers completes the circle of maobama, radical anti-Americanism, and acorn.

maobama was "pallin around with terrorists". ayers is just like mcvey, he's a domestic terrorist. maobama not only served on the board with him, but he sat down with him, in his home, seeking his advice on his political carrer.

i'd say thats a valid concern.

if mccain had served on a board with mcvey for ten years, then sat in mcvey's home night after night bouncing ideas back and forth with a domestic terrorist about his views on politics and America...

are you seriously telling me this wouldn't be all over the news, on every single network, on every front page of every newspaper???

republicans have been talking about this for over a year, it's only just now coming out because mccain grew the balls to run an ad and the media couldn't sweep it under the rug anymore.

to think otherwise is either dishonest, or ignorant.

also as to your "a bit upset with his country" comment...thats just classless.

people died because of ayers, he killed people in the name of the very ideals maobama holds so dear, the communist manifesto.

redistribution of wealth
social entitlement programs
overthrow of capitalism and free market
punishment of successful business

these are things maobama preaches, these are things ayers killed people for, these are no doubt things the two of them discussed frequently while plotting his illegal overthrow of the opposing candidates on the ticket in chicago to springboard his political career.

your little comment makes me sick, you should be ashamed for downplaying the death of those people at the hands of a radical domestic terrorist who's an adviser for a man running for president.

your flippant attitude twords America and our constitution pisses me off quite frankly. i wish you'd either grow up or tone it down a tad.

Who the fuck cares if republicans were on the board with him? You think I'll back down just because a republican is guilty too? That doesn't excuse Obama's involvement in any fucking way. Anyone who willingly associates with this guys is a piece of shit, but Obama even went one step further with that by seeking Ayers' input and advice for his political career. Obama even accepted financial donates from Ayers for his presidential campaign. How the fuck can you say he isn't palling around with him?

And big woop. he hasn't been "involved" in radical ideology(which is an outright fucking lie) since the 60's. Hey, why don't we get Bin Laden out here to teach our chemistry classes. I mean, it's been almost a decade since he has done any damage right?

Fact is this guy personally planted bombs, incited riots, sought to dismantle society, and is responsible for the deaths of many people. He has a criminal record a mile long. How the fuck we allow these kind of radicals to teach college courses is beyond me. Our education system is fucked. You can't walk across a college campus without being linked to infowars.com or handed a dozen pamphlets on marxism.

Lol. Such a typical response. What does that have to do with Obama? I don't give a flying shit about McCain right now. Typical narrow minded bullshit thinking just because one party is guilty, the other is excused.

It wouldn't be so bad if It was just one or two things. However Obama has a LONG history in dealing with these kinds of left wing, anti establishment radicals. It would be outright lunacy to just ignore these patterns in his career.

That was about Wright, not Ayers. Reading comprehension ftw. See how it's in a separate paragraph, after the phrase "About the Rev Wright thing..."

Again, the irony.
You don't care what McCain did? Obama didn't really seek the endorsement of Wright, but denounced him when he started saying what he said. Even then, Wright was basically saying that he wasn't happy with how America had treated black people; a valid point. People aren't allowed to express opinions anymore? I go to church, and I don't agree with absolutely everything my priest says.
McCain actively sought the endorsement of a guy who thought Hitler had done God's work. I'm not saying Obama is completely off the hook, but if he's guilty of anything here, McCain DEFINITELY is.
I'm not even a supporter of either one of them. I'm just tired of having retards decide the leader of the most powerful country on Earth based on the most pointless, and often false shit imaginable.
The only real consolation is that if things keep going how they're going, the US won't be the most powerful country on Earth much longer.
