I honestly think they're pretty bad... Everything is cheesy and generic. I'm really not a fan of Sammet's work.

Edguy is seriously awesome. One of my favorite bands. My favorite album is Hellfire Club. Mysteria would be my favorite song. I also like the new rocket ride album... haha the Superheroes music video... god

Yea i like Edguy! Hellfire Club is awesome. Some of their songs are kind of cheesy but alot of power metal can be called cheesy.

yeah, personally i think they are awesome.

lots of ppl prejudge it tho, generalising by saying "power metal singers cant sing," which isnt true for all of them, obviously.

What? Some of the power metal singers are among the best in the world... Hansi Kursch, Fabio Leone, John Cavaliere, Olaf Hayer..

Well Tinnitus Sanctus is out now. If any of you have it, what do you make of it? I personally don't think its that amazing I couple of good songs:
Thorn Without A Rose, Dragonfly, 9-2-9 and Nine Lives. A lot of it sounds like it could be off the Scarecrow. Mainly the albums completes Edguy's move away from power metal. Still wouldn't mind seeing them live though.

I find only a few of their tracks stand out.

Their frontman has a gigantic ego and is quite the douchebag

There are far worse bands in the genre, though.

Too generic for any serious listening. Good for listening once in a while though. Holy Water I think is their best track.
