Hmm I guess Ill vote FPS but I do love a good fighter, GG, Tekken, SF3rdS, DOA, SSBM, etc.
I think the list should be
RTS
FPS(include over the shoulder style shooting)
Fighting
Racing
Puzzles
MMO
RPG
Action/Adventure(this will include Indiana Jones, King's Quest, Monkey Island and such you old school adventure fans, also Zelda, metroid, also God of War, and such they are all related yet so far from each other, mainly because of the middle point... the games that are called action adventure.)
Consoles? a genre? So every console game is the same genre now a days. I remember in my day.... Come on wtf

Probably RPG's. Dunno really though, haven't really played a good one in a while.
So, FPS at the mo, RPG when Mass Effect delivers itself into my open and shaking arms.

i vote RPG,
not neccesarily MMO though, just RPG games in general,
i get addicted to them very easily, and i've always preferred RPGs over other genres since i can remember
other choices, FPS, and i used to like RTS though have not played one in a long time
