Now this is awsome. I have always loved Final Fantasy Tactics Advansed for the GBA, but I never owned it. I always had to borrow it from my friends. Now that it will be coming out on the PSP I will get it as soon as it gets out. This game first capture my interest when I saw the battle system. The ability to move your charactors around the, lets say "board", was pure genius. Then it was the huge selection of charactor classes, with around ten right at the begining. The stary line wasn't the strongest, yet this didn't have much effect on my opinion of the game. I know this is minor, but what bothered me was major characters didn't change their look when you changed their class. Those were my only problems with it. So to all you Final Fantasy Tactics fans, I want to know your opinions and info on this game.

Have you played the original Tactics for the Playstation One? Same system, except better in my opinion, plus a really good (but incredibly complicated) story. The PSP Tactics is a remake of this game.

Trust me, Tactics Advance absolutely pales in comparison to it...

Even more reason to get it. I never had it for the PS1 so this will be new to me. Does it still have Bangaa and Moogles?

No, the original just had humans for the most part, like most other Final Fantasies. The plus side of that is that everyone can be any class you want.

There is a theory that FFXII and Tactics Advance are set in Ivalice during a time before the events in the original Tactics because in the PS1 version they mention that Moogles and airships used to exist in a time where technology was at its peak (airships, guns, etc.) but something happened and destroyed a lot of the technology.

I only ever played FFTA and I would get this game if I had a PSP. But I'm gonna hold out for FFTA2 coming soon to a DS near me.

Have to agree with you there. The perfect balance between black and white mage. Whats not to like?

Truth has been spoken.

I was going to make a thread (I think I still will) asking for recommendations of tactical games, like FFT (For the PS1) that I could look into. Either on PS1/SNES or PC.

But damn, I'm fairly close to beating FFT on the PS1 (I got Cloud like last night, and I've been leveling him since, I'm gonna get him to learn Two Swords from the Ninja class and then switch him to like Knight (Or maybe back to Soldier, but then you can't equip armor :/) and give him two uber swords lol. The FAQ I'm reading (Mainly for secrets, most of these battle-strategies are dumb) tells me his Limit Breaks aren't worth doing, so meh.

I was hoping I could get more "big battles" though, like they always restrict you to having at most 5 of your own guys (maybe you'll have one or two guests tagged along at any given point) vs like, maybe 10? Usually no more than that. :/

A friend of mine was playing Fire Emblem on the Wii, and damn it looked pretty epic, which made me find FFT. I was hoping it would be just as epic (in terms of battle scale/size), but I found epicness in the quality I guess. Loads of fun, I'll probably be beating it after I buff my up Cloud and finish Deep Dungeon.

Edit: Damn, pretty somewhat of a necro - RPG section doesn't flow as quickly as the others.

I'm going to go slightly off-topic here and ask you guys a question about Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance, I finished that game a few months back and found it to be ridiculously easy; are there hidden challenges that I'm missing?

I liked the game a lot for what it was and I'd like to play through it again, but it being so easy really takes away all of the replay value for me. Is there a way to make it harder?

I love that game! I played the original for the Ps1 a couple times, then on this I've also played it a couple times. Always changing how to build teams and what to do. I think this remake is awesome though. I like the new characters and battles they've added, plus the vs mode. The only thing that I could gripe about is when you do a spell the game lags for a tad bit of a sec. BUT I still love the game and could have cared less so for me I say 2 thumbs up.

Does this game seem hard to anyone. I don't know if it's just me, but I seem to have to train before some of the bigger battles.

Do some challenges, such as beating the game only using Ramza (or I guess Marche in FFTA), never using items, not using magic, or only using one class or something...it's a blast!

Also FFT is a little bit harder than your average RPG these days i guess but it's not to bad, just keep training and you'll be fine.
