and also, now that games are much easier, any fag gets to justifiably hog the controller for who knows how long, for example, ff7

HEY GUYZ ITZ COOL TO HATE FF7 BECUZ A BUNCH UV PPL LIKE IT LOL ROFL LOL NOOB FAG LOL

I think it was pretty impressive for me to beat that game at age 7 no matter how easy you think it was. Plus, it was an essential part of my strat development. If you can't stop hating on games long enough to understand that, you're just a noob tbh.

as a fellow ohioan i must say i am shocked and appalled at your lack of understanding of a simple sentance.

all the man said was when people played FF7 they tended to hog the controller. he didn't bash the game at all, not one iota.

yet you pounce upon this oppertunity to ramble off at the mouth about how you beat a game when you were a nerdling and it helped developed strats (in a RPG ROFL)

settle the fuck down, and never, never go the fuck off on confrico, especially when he's done nothing worthy of such rantings. confrico ain't here to hurt nobody...he's all about the love.

now appologise or be forever branded as the noob who wrongfully scorned a well respected member of the forums.

that was just lame bro...uber lame.

EDIT:

for the record, fianl fantasy was an epic masterpiece of our generation, but it didn't take skill. it took time, lots of it, and a guide book. don't tell me you didn't use one everyone did...it's ok bro we're all friends here.

ff7 rocked, but it wasn't hard like games were before you were a zygote.

thats all he was sayin.

"Lol those games suck! Not anything good liek Haloz" -Todays generation of gamers

I loved it and remember most if not all of those games... sad though that games will never be that epic again.

You're right, I overreacted. I was kinda pissed when I wrote that then I kinda went into speed-read mode and I guess I saw "fag" and "ff7" in the same sentence and had a flashback to every forum I've been to where there's a group of people that insist on making one of my favorite games seem like total fail. Bad combination.

I'll go off on anyone that deserves it, even this guy. Or if I'm pissed off and lose my inability to comprehend the english language apparently.

You're right. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for what I said and that I flew off the handle. I'm apologizing because I was wrong, not because he's a 'respected member of the forums.' That's kind of a weak card to play.

I didn't use the guide book first time through. I did the second time though and it made everything a hell of a lot easier. I agree games used to be harder, but FF7 was no pushover. Turn-based RPGs can help develop strats contrary to what you may think. Essentially, winning a turn-based boss battle is all about executing the right build order. If nothing else, it lays down a good foundation.

Got a gameboy when I was 5, and that's how I started playing games. I still remember the sense of achievement of beating Zelda: Links awakening when I was 6. Good times icon_smile.gif

ur'e good bro i was more joking around than anything. and i feel your pain with the noobs ripping on FF7. it's lame. the game rocks like autistic kids. it's just a one person game. very hard to share the paddle when you're farming AP and fighting emerald or ruby. especially when all your friends panic and waste your MP and megalixers.

but hey on to the topic of the thread...this video made me realize just how many countless hours i spent in the basement playing videogames.

is it bad that i knew like • of the games as they flashed by...

icon_lol.gif

sad thing is after seeing some 200 different games flash on screen i started thinking about all my favorites that didn't make it into the vid, and i even contemplated taking screen shots of the games i didn't know and asking people here what they were.

but alas i'm just not that dedicated.

cobra triangle FTW
