since he doesnt think his p2 has a heatsink, it MUST be a stock cartridge setup with a fan in it. at the time, ATX only called for (and only needed) the PSU fan for exhaust. im betting he has 2

and no, its prolly still loud as anything

Might be worth saving and simply upgrading if you have an AGP slot. What are your specifics? If you don't know you can check my sticky icon_wink.gif

2 GBs of some shitty ram. (You'd think 2GBs would be good but its like having a huge pile of shit.)

Some shitty 939 mobo. (WTF is elitegroup?)

Some shitty dvd player without a brand name.

Some shitty 6600GT that performs like a 6100 for some reason.

Some shitty 19 inch CRT moniter. (You'd think that would be good but it too is like a huge pile of shit.)

Some shitty 80 gb with a whopping 5400 rpm.

REALLY shitty 120GB HD. (Doesn't even fucking work.)

AMD 3500+ (Which isn't shitty!)

X-Fi Xtreme Music. (It owns. It's the only redeeming value of my pc.)
Consider this thread trolled.

I could make that fucker haul, so I don't think it's the hardware that's shitty.

Did you go to the dumpster and piece together a computer? With those specs it shouldn't suck ass. What did you do to the rig? Most likely you went for numbers and not quality and bought the cheapest version of everything possible.

well, hmm...

that fan u see is for the power supply. it is an aweful idea to stop that fan, as older PSUs were incredibly inefficient and overheat very easily

thats an HP!?!?! they made HPs out of legos!?!?! also, pentium2's first came out in 1997

anyways, all CPUs are chips. what u are looking at when u see ur processor is a slot cartridge. hwoever there IS a chip on it, lol. the blue prongs, i assume we cant see them now, are a heatsink

edit: THIS is a pentium 2 with a passive heatsink:
I assume that yours looks similar, but with a blue heatsink?

THIS is a pentium 2 outside the protective cartridge.
ull notice it IS a chip
