There is nothing you can say to make the PS3 sound any better than it is. It's the worst console period. The only exclusives it has that are worth getting are Uncharted, Warhawk and R&C Future. That's it! Thw Wii and 360 have many more amazing titles than that/ The Wii has Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Super Paper Mario, Rayman Raving Rabbids, WarioWare and Wii Sports and the 360 has Gears of War, Viva Pinata, Mass Effect, Ace Combat 6, Eternal Sonata, Bioshock, Crackdown, Overlord and Halo 3, just to name the ones I can remember off the top of my head. Game consoles are about one thing and one thing only, gaming. And if your console doesn't gave a decent library of hard-hitting titles, then you have a crappy console. Why don't you go Home and think about that. (get it, Home...I chuckled...)
You're honestly going to use Rayman Raving Rabbids and Viva Pinata as good Wii and 360 games?
To be honest, it's quite useless arguing with you people, as it's obvious a lot of you are rather biased towards the 360 and against the PS3, and spread rampant misinformation about the latter just to make your console look better.
But hey, put a person in their place enough times and eventually they learn their lesson.
There are actually quite a few great games to play on the PS3 right now. Resistance: Fall of Man, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Folklore, Uncharted, Warhawk, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Eye of Judgment, Unreal Tournament 3, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, . And those are just exclusives. If we throw in games like Call of Duty 4, Oblivion, Skate., Tim Clancy games, etc, the PS3 is doing phenomenally better than the 360 has done in it's first year in terms of quality titles.
I see a lot of you singing the praises of the Wii, yet bashing the PS3 for "not being about the games" when I mention the PS3. You do know why the Wii is selling, right? Because people who don't really play games are buying it. Somebody who's more interested in making Mii's than playing SHOOTAN GAEMS might be a little more inclined to buy a console with something similar. I lol pretty hard if anybody honestly thinks the Wii has more "hardcore" games than the PS3.
I've asked people in this thread to explain to me what makes Live better than PSN. All you've done is avoided the question and continued to bash the PS3.
I, on the other hand, have proven that punch for punch, Live and PSN are very much the same, and in 08, most of Live's features will be surpassed, and I'll still not have paid a cent for any of it. I might understand if you guys got something extra with your games, or the DLC was cheaper or something, but you don't, and it isn't. Our games play just as good as your games (Hell, DMC4 and Burnout Paradise are actually a lot better on PS3 according to several sources), and we get the same DLC as you do for the same price.
I really don't understand this mentality of 360 holding games back being a good thing. I've given you examples of developers, and not exclusive developers, people like Epic, Infinity Ward, Konami, and Id, all showing that a larger format IS required. I'm sure that switching out a few DVD's isn't a big deal for some of you, but when Metal Gear Solid would span across 6 DVD9's on any other console, and FPS games now need multiple DVDs, I think there is a bit of a problem. I might understand if we were talking about RPGs, but FPS? Come on. It's some of the most backwards thinking I've ever seen to support an obviously aging format when developers themselves are showing an obvious need for more space.
Really, it's not even just the Bluray. The 360 lacks a lot of things that developers are finding more use for. No HHD standard with two SKUs, which means that developers cannot use the HDD for installing/caching/streaming games. No HDDVD standard, and even if you buy the add-on, it doesn't apply to games. No motion sensing. Well, Microsoft said they'll be releasing an add-on for it in the future. Oh wow. Another overpriced add-on? Can't wait. No DivX certification. Now, you may be thinking "But the 360 supports DivX!". You would be right, but there is a difference between DivX support and DivX certification. DivX certification means that developers will actually be able to use DivX encoding in their games using the 2.0 version of the PS3 software development kit. Only one 360 SKU supports HDMI, and even then it's not even HDMI 1.3.
Sure, the PS3 came in last it's first year, but if you can honestly look at the PS3's line-up of games for 08/09 and tell me it's not holyfuck amazing, you need to get your head checked.

And these are just exclusives. Throw in games like Devil May Cry 4 (Better on PS3), Burnout Paradise (Also better on PS3), Grand Theft Auto 4, or any other multiplatform game you can mention, and the amount of great games coming out for the PS3 trumps pretty much every other console. I mean, can you honestly tell me what must plays are coming out on the 360 in 08/09? Halo Wars? A few no-name shooters? Infinite Undiscovery? (Because Blue Dragon was awesome amirite?)
But hey, all of it boils down to personal opinion, right? I prefer the PS3 and Wii over the 360. Other people prefer the 360 and Wii over the PS3. I just when people are as misinformed about something as most of the people in this thread are, I should try to correct them.
