and it can be the result of the DVD quality itself, the TV quality, the settings on the TV and the settings on the player (things like brightness can wash out color very easily). and when the player is able to play blu-ray or hd-dvd, then i think it doesnt really matter at all in the end.

Same settings on the tv for both the computer and ps2. If I would optimize the settings for both the computer and the ps2 they could look more alike or the difference could be even bigger. The photos looks like total shit my tv is no good taking photos on lol. Both the ps2 and computer looks alot better on the tv then on the photos.
I have seen 2 different dvd players on the same tv in a store and there was difference and when we I saw some movies at a friends house he switched from the DVD in their living room to the one in his roo and there was a difference. I also heard 2 different cd players with the same speakers and one of them had better audio then the other.
When I buy a ps3 and a projector I can do a bigger test with more dvd players and xbox 360, ps3 and ps2.
