What kinda TV do you have?

well right now im in college so i cant afford anything speical, At home though before I was gaming on a Zeinth 30inch 480i (lol) and now here at the college they give you free cable on rez so they also give you this free shitty ass Daewoo tv. Its mono sound and like 20inch and its so bad. So I definatly dont have a nice gaming center at all, but it gets me threw. I might buy a cable to connect my 360 to my 20inch LG204WT moniter though. That would be such a wiser choice.

it comes with all the cables you need if you get anything except the core... it's people like you that make me weep for games, halo and gears aren't even on my top 10 for games I'm looking to get this holiday.

Brawl - if it lives up to the last 2 incarnations, it'll get 1000+ hours of playtime easily and still be fun for a good 7-8 years without getting old

Halo 3 - a shooter which lacks the keyboard/mouse essentials for a shooter game.

Guitar Hero 3 - More expensive on the PS3/360 than wii, and lacks the individual speakers on the guitars and rumble

Call of Duty 4 - A PC game port, guess where it'll be better

Rock Band - far too expensive

Mass Effect - 40-80 hours of playtime easily

World in Conflict - Another game that'll pale in comparison to the PC version

Unreal Tournament 3 - I'm noticing a trend here..

Half Life 2 Orange Box - Do I need to say anything?

Manhunt 2 - Haven't really heard much, and don't really care since rockstar killed DMA

Assasins Creed - TBH it looks like Prince of Persia with a new skin, I'll pass

To be perfectly honest, for consoles this holiday season is really lacking. PC gaming on the other hand is looking pretty good with the new CoH expansion, ET:QW(I hate it but I know it'll be eaten up like mad), Hellgate:London and Crysis. Anyone but an xbox fanboy can tell that the PC versions of CoD4, HLE2, GoW and UT3 are going to be better than the console versions. Between Wii and PC games I don't think I'll be seeing any game time for other systems.

I noticed a trend too. you assuming that because I own a 360, I own a PC capable of playing the games my 360 does...

Also, PC vs. Console fps control is entirely personal opinion. I do 10 times better at controlling my character on a console in any genre than I ever have on a PC (except MMOs probably, but i have to see how huxley and APB work out). If you're good at either, you are still good. The playstyle is just different.

Haha 360 and PS3 are getting the better games this holidy I'll say. The only games I'll get for my Wii are Bleach: Shattered Blades and Mario Galaxy. Bleach will hold me down till Ratchet and Clank, when I finish ratchet and Clank I'll play Mario Galaxy for a whole day or so, until games like Uncharted, Mass Effect, and Assassin Creed, the godly games, are out and kicking ass.

Anyway, has anyone noticed that the quality of games are improving? Like I know there are still going to be shitty games, like there are shitty movies but, take E3 for example. Most of the games shown looked pretty good and interesting.

I think it has more to do with the AAA titles people have been working on since the 360's/PS3's/Wii's launch are starting to really hit. The wii a little less so because people didn't start deving till after it's launch.

QFT. PS3 is fine, it just doesn't have enough games that I want to warrant its' price IMO (note the imo).

even if you discount PC the lists aren't all that impressive, and PC should be included as these days you can build half decent PC for the price of the new consoles.

PC always get all the mods and configuration options not available to consoles(you can use the 360 controller on the PC)
