I did some of this a while ago, but I have some questions:

Will it make my temperatures jump up? I suppose I could set it's affinity to 1 or 2 cores.

I've got an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, and it sits around 28C at ~5% useage, and up to about 40 at 100% with 4 instances of prime 95 running for half an hour, on stock cooling.

Well yeah, it uses your CPU just like any other process would so what you think its gunna do TBH?
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

you use TBH to much TBH, and yes you make a very good point in your before posts, I dont want this slowing down other processes that I might want to run faster, sorry!

Hmm, this is interesting I must say. Been looking at these kinds of projects for a long time. The guys over at hak5.org were in on this quite a while ago (dunno if they still are mind...). Its something Ive wanted to do... maybe now is the time to do it. I have 5 CPUs at my disposal - 3 machines (two are dual core). The dualies are only ever using half their potential and the second cores are usually next to 0%, so theres a full 2 CPUs that can be used right there if this software supports it? And this wont show up on admin logs as "OMFG WTF BBQ P0RNZ@!!:icon_confused.gif" will it? as one of the machines in question is my work rig pp_smiley11.gif

no it wont show up as porn lol.. and in proccess it's called winFAH.exe.. it's pretty safe...

it only uses spare processes.. eg.. it runs on the lowest priority, unless you set it to do differently.

lol its ok i was only joking icon_razz.gif downloaded it about 10 mins after that post and have been running it all day icon_wink.gif 1020 frames out of 2000 right now towards my first WU icon_biggrin.gif im so happy - IM HELPING TO PWN CANCRRZ! icon_lol.gif

Yea I just joined as well, i used to use this a fair bit onmy old comp but whenever it sent data back to main server it would lag teh shit out of my cs, but ill see how it goes now that i dont play tooo much (XD)

Hey I just downloaded it and joined the pp team. I figure i'll just put it to max when i'm at classes and stuff. Not like I'm using it then anyway.

Also on a side note, pretty crazy how at 100% cpu power it would take my computer 13 days to to finish the WU.
