I'm looking for some good classical music that has an epic feeling to it, much like this song from the Stargate Atlantis opening theme: http://youtube.com/watch?v=p1RdtSG3Bxw
I'm guessing film scores, but what else?

To Zanarkand
Piano Version
Also.. Ectasy of Gold - Metallica version
Not sure if this is what your looking for.. Or even if its classical music for that matter, but there are orchestral instruments implemented throughout these 3 songs.. And they are pretty epic.

Definitely Hans Zimmer and Clint Mansell
SSBB video with both composers
Hans Zimmer - Budget Meeting
Hans Zimmer - Journey to the Line
and THIS
Then just look at some soundtracks from epic movies.
Also, "orchestrated" might be a better term than "classical".

Not exactly classical... more like medieval, but epic nonetheless. You've heard it everywhere.

This is exactly what has been going on through the entire thread, and it's not the first time either.
You come to us for advice..you just spell out what you want to get, and then ask us if it is okay, and we have to explain why it isn't. That's the world upside down.. If you would just say 'hey guys, I have an X amount of money, what should I buy?' Then this would be over in 2-3 posts, not 2-3 pages.

Every time someone goes against Weiman's sig I feel like they should be bludgeoned for a few minutes in the head to feel the headache I feel when I realize someone really IS that dense.

*is now listening to music from this thread.*
Actually, you should try Vivaldi.
I know - I might be saying that way too much, but I'm hppked on Vivaldi's music since I was 4 years old.
It doesn't have the thing you're looking for though, I think.

I'm listening to the Stargate soundtrack and it's much more different than anything else you guys posted or any other CD I have. I'm not quite sure what makes it so special, but it's freaking awesome.
