I really don't think I should be having to convince you to go download this thing. Great concept, amazing graphics, spiritual successor to System Shock 2.

Anyways, downloads seem to be incredibly slow at the moment, so it may take a while. To help pass the time there's a launch trailer in the source.

Where's the PC demo? I thought the dev team said they designed the game primarily for PC... shouldn't they be showing PC owners more love? icon_sad.gif

Oh yes, RAN (well walked fast) to my 360 when I saw the news. At a half hour it was at 4%, so I went to sleep. 4 and a half hours later, 68%!

Mmm I can't wait to play this game, I was very surprised this game out for demo.

Edit: I just finished recording the demo and will have it posted soon (its a short but good 30minutes total). Also as noted in the start of the video, it will spoil the beginning for you. If there's any other spoilers I have missed tell me and I'll add it to the start of the video, but I'm pretty sure nothing too dramatic gets spoiled.

So...that was a a pretty incredible demo. The game is one of the most immersive games I've ever played. The feeling that you get while you walk through the halls of Rapture is both amazing and creepy, and when you first see rapture from the sub your left in a sense of awe. The lighting and sound are just so well done, and don't get me started on the water effects. The water effects are one of the most graphically pleasing things I have ever seen.

The way the game uses the environment is awesome as well. If you see a couple splicers in some water, use your electricity plasmid to electrocute them. The game just does so much right and has so many cool features that just bring the game to life, like enemies running to water to put them selves out when you light them on fire, the awesome 50's vibe similar to Fallout, and the scripted scenes are just so well thought out.

It's going to be a long 8 days till the release.

I guess the demo lived up to the hype thumbsup.gif. Should have seen the emphasize that me and m3ds put on the Bioshock demo.

Oh yes this game is amazing. Graphics, and gameplay aside this game tells a great story and sets the mood so perfectly. Hell you even forget its a shooter! I'll never forget in the beginning after the plane crashed and your in the water, I was waiting for a cinematic, but then it told me move the left stick. I was like Oh! Bioshock will set the bar on so many levels for games to come.

Yea I HIGHLY recommend you play it first. I just did that for those with a broken Xbox and whatnot to they could still be in the loop.


And to think this is just the start of many, MANY, great games to come this year.
