I'm almost 100% sure this show is my favorite animated series of all time. I really hope when they rez this show it isn't a piece of crap. That would just be tarnishing pure gold.

Because Fox has a history of fucking with the timeslots of good shows. They'll put something against some insanely popular show on another network and then blame the show when it doesn't smash the competition in ratings. It happened to Futurama, Family Guy, and Arrested Development.
I just hope this isn't like when Family Guy came back, since pretty much all Family Guy episodes since their return have been complete crap.

Obviously what I said was a joke, but seriously, shows take a while to start off and get popular. I wasn't there in the late 80's to know how the Simpsons started off, but i'm sure it took them a couple of years before they got a good fan base. Just that Fox only wants viewers and they'll never give TV shows time to get popularity, if no one watches them they'll just take it off the air.

Please, don't compaire Futurama with Family Guy, Futurama has a plot and jokes that contribute to the storyline, Family Guy is shit, it's just random refrences to pop culture and when it actually tries "jokes" that are not funny (Piano brothers, Greased up deaf) they are annoying, hell the only funny "Jokes" they make are about Meg.
Not to mention what has been called the greatest Sci-fi ever, Firefly,

Firefly pwns really hard, and so does Serenity. I do like Family Guy though, I know it's just random jokes with no connection to the plot but you know what? That's still wicked funny. It's just random humor. Futurama is awesome too of course and I can't wait for this movie. ZOIDBERG FTW!
