Reasonable, i would have gone with a gigabyte P35 instead though, cheaper and it doesnt look like you're a really hardcore overclocker

Reason: quality, performance, OCing?

Looks good, however the best overclocking for your budget ATM is the 2x1gb G.skill GBHZ, see if you can get some of that in on the budget, its micron D9 guarenteed

DVDRW drive:
NEC AD-7170S, Serial ATA150, black, OEM

Good

HDD:
Hitachi Deskstar T7K500, 500 GB, 7200 RPM, 16 MB, SATA II
Reason: lower price, same #gb

Good brand, nice drive. However see if for around the same price you could get 2x250gb drives in RAID0, it will be about 60% faster

Waste of money, don't bother

Reason:speed, good brand, cheaper then club3d one!

Just get the cheapest 8800GTS 320mb card on the website, like i said above, brands dont count for shit except when it comes to warranties and they should all have 12months minimum

SOUND:
Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi XtremeGamer, Retail

IDK much about sound cards since i have always found onboard HD to be perfectly satisfactory.

EXTRA:
Logitech MX518, Zwart, silver, Retail
Reason: need a mouse that fits my hand a bit better, and I can use my old mx310 for my laptop

Very popular mouse, i prefer the G5 but others prefer the MX518 because of the different buttons.

THe Foxconn 8800's actually perform and overclock below average, Xbit has a review on them.

Reason: fits with the rest, good stuff for not much money. (gets good reviews from buyers on the site)

DVDRW drive:
Samsung SH-S203B,OEM, Zwart, Serial ATA150
Reason: Burns more, is more silent and only a few euros more expensive, also: THIS. IS. SATAAAAAAA! no poking around with jumpers anymore!

HDD:
2x Samsung Spinpoint T166, 500 GB, 7200 RPM, 16 MB, SATA II
Reason: Not the cheapest ones, but the most silent! Buying two for RAID 0 performance and 1TB for plenty of space.

GFX:
ECS Geforce 8800 GTS, 320 MB, DDR3, PCI Express x16
Reason: Cheapest 8800GTS I could find there, doesn't get bad reviews, no known problems.

SOUND:

Reason: Very decent soundcard, I wish to try out a good soundcard over onboard for once.

Well in theory RAID5 and RAID0+1 perform exactly the same, only prob with RAID5 is need for a controller so unless you buy one RAID0+1 is faster. Ofcourse with no core for redundancy the best option is 2 or 3 in RAID0.

Your HDs arent really a main source of noise in the first place.
And yes im on techbums IRC sometimes as either noobmaster, the486 or caffeine, depending what names are taken already. Tho im not on much ATM.

Changed MOBO, don't want SLI and don't really need firewire or serial ports, this one is cheaper.

Added GFX cooler, 8800 coolers do get noisy: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2945&p=13
added some fans, 92mm for GPU cooler, 120mm one to replace frontal one of lianli, seems to be noisy from what I read from customer reviews on various sites.

Changed DVDRW back to NEC, Samsung has read-in problems.

Lowered hdd size to 320 per disk, 640gb is still lots.

Changed GFX brand to EVGA, seems to be better quality wise.
