Err...there's quite a difference between Europe and Canada.

This is exactly what has been going on through the entire thread, and it's not the first time either.
You come to us for advice..you just spell out what you want to get, and then ask us if it is okay, and we have to explain why it isn't. That's the world upside down.. If you would just say 'hey guys, I have an X amount of money, what should I buy?' Then this would be over in 2-3 posts, not 2-3 pages.

Gateway's pretty nice in my opinion. Back in december I got my c2d laptop for $800 (T5500, 1GB RAM, 100GB HD, 15.4" widescreen)
Edit: You'll have to find out if they ship to euro or canadia though

ehm.. the thing is i know what i need, i found another place but i would like to compare prices and see if i can find any better anywhere else. i really dont see how this is an "epic fail" post =/ would it be any use if i post where i am from? dont you think i have searched there already?..
but sure, wouldnt hurt to know what im looking for. As i said, it will be a big investment for me, so the laptop should last atleast 2 years ^^ i really want one with nvidia 8xxx so i can run dx 10 properly and play the new games that only work with vista and dx 10 (halo 2 ftw!) 2gig ram and dual processor with atleast 1.8 ghz, size dosnt matter (screen that is) oh and decent ammount of hardisk space.
and for the above comments, the reason why canada is because im going there during the summer =) otherwise i will be in europe.. denmark more specificly.
checking out ibuypower and gateaway atm, gonna post soon with my results. thx for posting about those places.
okay EDIT: i must admit, i am a nub with computers.. the only graphic cards that i can judge are nvidias, the higher the number the better.. now when i see some "256MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 PCI Express Video" i have no idea if that is equalivant to a nvidia Gt 7600 or 8600 etc. =(
does anyone have an idea?
to tell you guys the best deal i have found:
the laptop has:
Intel® Santa Rosa/Centrinoâ„¢ Intel® 965PM / ICH8-M Chip
14,1" WXGA+ screen 1440x900
nVidia Geforce 8600M GT 512MB
Intel® Coreâ„¢ 2 Duo 1.80~2.40 GHz
2gig ram
667MHZ, 60GB 7200omdr. hardisk
vista home edition
i can get that for about 1.800 USD.

That's pretty much spot on..though Santa Rosa sexyness would be cooler.
