i wouldn't go with open box on the 8800gtx, go for the 1 yr warranty. Pretty sure I heard somewhere open box products are only 30 days. If it has problems in 6 months you'll kill yourself.

go for something at least 20" +, 1650 x 1080 res (looks nicer then 1440x w/e) and anything below 8ms.

like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824009106 anything bigger then 20 bumps the price by quite a bit. I have that monitor and its really nice.

people are probably going to tell you to go with an 8800gts 320mb, but I wont because I love my gtx with every fiber of my being and dont regret buying it icon_smile.gif

Quoted for truth.

I'm not getting any graphics card, just a list. And you've linked 2 CPU HSF's, neither of which I would buy myself.

This is exactly what has been going on through the entire thread, and it's not the first time either.
You come to us for advice..you just spell out what you want to get, and then ask us if it is okay, and we have to explain why it isn't. That's the world upside down.. If you would just say 'hey guys, I have an X amount of money, what should I buy?' Then this would be over in 2-3 posts, not 2-3 pages.

Every time someone goes against Weiman's sig I feel like they should be bludgeoned for a few minutes in the head to feel the headache I feel when I realize someone really IS that dense.
