My favourite Race: Space Marines

Most Memorable moment: Orks vs Nguman's very no0by squad = Epic Win. (Mission 3 or 4 of the original Dawn of War)

i love dow, but i was a tabletop player first and some things about dow just irk me.

firstly, the chaos are way too weak, they should be twice as strong, and to balance the game make them more expensive and slower to build. it would make sense with their fluff that they are more rare and thus more costly anyway.

they nerfed the marines pretty bad by putting limits on the LR, the predator and terminators. problem now is that in a lot of game its just tech up to dreadnoughts and mass them, which reminds me of c&c truth be told. i dont like it at all. they need to put a cap on dreadnoughts. marines in the tabletop are all about the soldiers. the ig was always the tank race and it should stay that way.

and the orc strats from what i remember, (havent played in awhile), seem to be lots of shoota boys and vehicles, and in the tabletop they were all based on mass numbers. they should cap the vehicles and make the infantry cheaper. orcs should be like the zerg of dow.

i've been hearing things, right? not like it's a secret or anything, but there's gonna be another WH40K game. what would you call this new game? i say like dawn of the dead followed by day of the dead, so should dawn of war be day of war? it's just an idea, but im praying they don't roll with Dawn of war 2 for a name.

I doubt it's going to be DoW2 or even another RTS. Might be an FPS.

Btw Gaming_King they are making a new 40k MMORPG, some speculate they are making a new Dawn of War, others think they are going to play Starcraft 2 (me) and stop working on Dawn of War patches.

Favourite Race: Eldar
Why: Fast Attack, Hit and Run. With Warpgates + Stealth, you can hold paths to your base like nothing. As an enemy squad of space marines crosses past your strategic point, BAM! Three squads of Howling Banshees appear outta nowhere, cut you down, and disappear just as mysteriously as they came.

yeah, you know what? i'm kinda skeptic about a 40K MMORPG. a good MMORPG gives you individuality, the ability to forge your own way in this 3D world.

40K? well i guess it depends on which character you choose. if you chose a foot soldier, you be spending the larger part of your gameplay being controlled by your superiors and being sent into impossible battles.

Warcraft 3 worked as an RTS-MMORPG conversion and it is now the best MMORPG in the world.

i pray for Relic's sake that this one also works.

uhh since when is Relic doing an MMO? They're too small of a comany to do a proper MMO and all their previous resources are RTS games. Don't count on an MMO from Relic

teh tombomb, blizzard cares not for gamers like us. they are greedy jerks who only care about the money in their pockets.

I, too wish to see another Warcraft RTS, but knowing blizzard, they are making too much money with WoW to care right now.

Well, I've stopped playing the DoW series for a while to focus on working my way through single player C&C: [All of 'em bar the latest] (bought The First Decade, sure now I've got a couple of double ups, but, meh, I have no excuse. I wanted it and I bought it), BUT;

I loved the Space Marines, I too was a tabletop gamer.. though I prefer Fantasy, but had a couple of WH40K SM squads.

The whole idea of genetically perfected fighting machines got to me, that and they were easy as hell to finish the single player missions across all three games with. RIP massing preds and annihilating the AI in one sweep.
