Arrest after MySpace house party
A 17-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage in connection with a house party which left a family home wrecked.

About 200 youngsters damaged Alan and Elaine Bell's home after the party was advertised on the website MySpace.

Guests are alleged to have urinated on a wedding dress and stolen jewellery from the house near Chester-le-Street, County Durham on Easter Monday.

Durham Police said the girl had been questioned and released on police bail.

'Horrible memories'

Mr and Mrs Bell returned on Tuesday morning to find a trail of destruction at their 230,000 house in Chipchase Court.

Mrs Bell, 48, said the couple may have to move out of the house.

She said: "It's absolutely unbelievable. It was a house I'd left at 10am on Monday morning in an immaculate state.

"It's like a house rape - every single room's trashed. Every carpet is burned, they've been stamping out cigarettes on them.

"They urinated in the wardrobes, pulled my clothes out of the wardrobes and stubbed cigarettes out on them. The beds are burnt. There's food and messages all over the walls.

"At this point in time I might not be able to live in the house again - I might have to move because there are so many horrible memories now."

A Durham Police spokesman said some people had travelled hundreds of miles to be at the party.

How pissed off would you be? And how stupid to post it on Myspace where anyone could access the details... Especially if you're one of those people who has 1000 random friends.

Holy crap. I feel really bad for the adults, but I feel no remorse for the girl. I mean, I know that you make mistakes, but that just seems like a common sense type of thing.

Myspace even has a public/private selection, so she was obviously stupid enough to keep it public. What I want to know is what SHE was doing while all this crap was happening.

This is exactly what has been going on through the entire thread, and it's not the first time either.
You come to us for advice..you just spell out what you want to get, and then ask us if it is okay, and we have to explain why it isn't. That's the world upside down.. If you would just say 'hey guys, I have an X amount of money, what should I buy?' Then this would be over in 2-3 posts, not 2-3 pages.

Every time someone goes against Weiman's sig I feel like they should be bludgeoned for a few minutes in the head to feel the headache I feel when I realize someone really IS that dense.

I lock the door after 20 or so people, and call the cops if they try to get in. :/

Myspace sucks, there is nothing good that comes out of that website except for spam and bullshit like this.

Other than that I lol'd at the story in general, sucks for the owners though.

Silly bitch deserves what she got. I just wish I could have been there, add to the mess. Think of it, you can trash someone's house and NOT get in trouble for it? Awesome.

Wow that was pretty stupid of her. She should have known better than to post everything where anyone could read it.

I for one am never going to have a house party just for those reasons. I don't want all my stuff to get smashed and broken.
