Explosions In The Sky. All instrumental, put epic none the less. I am no music master, but I am sure they do some good technical stuff that I can't name.

Say Anything, Fucking noice band. Overrated now but is still good. It's a somewhat less pussy-punk punk band.

Give me some dark folk music.

Songs I'm jamming to now:

Mark Collie - "In Time"
16 Horsepower - "Sinnerman"
Cole - "End of the World (Acoustic)"

Something along the lines of those, preferably closer to the first two.
His name is Robert Paulson.

System of a down, they've got heaps of kinda random funny songs, but also have songs with political views and stuff like that in them. Download "Toxicity", my fav.

Anthrax. If you like metal, you'll like them. If you like punk, you'll probably like em because they have punky vocals. Here's some vidoes.

Got The Time- my favorite song by them

Madhouse- This is probably their most popular song, it's pretty good too.

Sigur Ros is amazing

The_king: Check out Bass Hit & The Funk Lab for some deep-bass trance music.
BT, Paul Oakenfold and The Crystal Method are also top favorites of mine.

Hey, that's my kinda music. Except I need something fresh or anything I haven't listened to 100 times. Recommend anything similar, or in the vein of the prodigy or ratatat?

Massive Attack, Bass Hit, Beck (The remix CD, "Guerolito", if you can get it), Boards of Canada, Cirrus, Fatboy Slim, Josh Wink, Libra Presents Taylor (BT's original project before he used his actual name), Moby, Rob Dougan, Chemical Brothers, Utah Saints, Alias & Ehren

Hope this helps.

Well, Malice Mizer is one of my favorite bands, and their style is "Visual Kei" also known as JRock. I want to know if some of you likes this kind of music, or do some of you actually know what this is? I would recommend Gardenia's video on youtube, or Beast of Blood (which is a pretty much known song, I think.)

There, enjoy, and tell me what you think about them!

Gardenia Video

beast of Blood

That was my recommendation!

(By the way, sorry for bumping.)

I just saw a great Norwegian Epic Power Metal band live. I wasn't really sure about them but when I got there and into it it was totally fantastic. Their name is AdventureQuest (nothing to do with the crap webgame) and they are totally awesome. THIS is their Myspace - it only has one song on it, but its a great song with fantastic atmosphere. icon_wink.gif

Hi all

This is my 2nd post so please be gentle with me icon_biggrin.gif , i guess there are many different people here from all over the world and i guess people's cultures and lifestyle's and musical taste will difffer, anyway whoever you are and wherever you come from if you are a fan of the british music scene and especially indie type music there is one band that i would 100% totally recomend and they are called the super furry animals.

They are quite simply my personal beatles and are one of the best band to come out of the uk within the last 10 years, if you like a band that can embrace loads of different styles of music and fuse them into 1 lush loverly sound you should check em out - www.myspace.com/superfurry

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone can tell me some good thrash bands, songs, or albums from the years 1980-1989.

Thanks
