Extracted the music from Supreme Commander and uploaded as MP3 (320-kbit)

For a good impression here's 1 track (my favorite... the one played in full scale battle ! w00t )

lately the music I listen to is being more and more narrowed to vg soundtracks...

The music in starcraft is better. =O lol well at least the terran music is, it's classic =P

background music is supposed to be background music, right? Since it's played over and over every time you play

well in sc, the music not only is great, but also it doesn't get stuck in your head, it's not annoying or repetitive. So, it combines great music with functionality, the way it should be used in games

I never liked StarCraft.... I think I played it 4 times with some friends....
and I practiced some skirmishes at home... But the music never got to me.
Which actually says a lot... because I have a great memory for music... unless it sucks ! icon_wink.gif

Thanks man, even though I haven't played SupCom (hayhayhay, they shouldnt've made it so demanding on the system specs!) I imagine the music is quite good. And I dislike the Starcraft music, maybe it's because I play Zerg, but I have it turned off, regardless. Lest now to be replaced by SupCom music. icon_surprised.gif

I also love how the music is bound to the action.
When ur building some stuff and nothings going on... the music is nice and mellow...

Then when ur storming up a guys base with 300 units and 4 SpiderMonkeys...
the Music bursts out in violent Orchestra ! icon_biggrin.gif It really adds to the feel !

Man, the Starcraft music is awesome! icon_biggrin.gif You should clearly listen again, hehe, there's some classic stuff, especially in Terran. But I'm glad that action themed music has started to happen, it's only the latest lot of games, starting with Generals, that's started that, and it really helps with the atmosphere - much more like film music.
