QFT. Plus everything feels kind of slippery. Good job for putting smash bros in a flash though, But I certainly hope Sonic will appear in brawl. I'm Willing to bet that he will be in Brawl. Wagers anyone?

Not Brawl related, but Melee related:

A flash version of Melee that some fans made. I think you guys will appreciate it, it's very good.
They also have Sonic and Megaman in there haha, nice. Pretty good idea for a special stage regarding Sonic too, check it out!

Don't particularly like sonic in brawl but I can live with it if that happens, oh and let's not turn this into one of those pointles arguement threads over whether he should be in or not

Personally I would be for having Sonic in Brawl. I think he would be fun to play along with fast. But really it's just a matter of opinion and if you like him or not. With that, Megaman would be cool too.
Anyone see the new update? Banana peels anyway? I really don't see this as going to be a very useful item as opposed to just embarassing your opponent if they slip over it.
What I was really interested in was the stage they were playing on. That place looked pretty damn cool looking.

The peel is gonna be awesome, and yeah it would be useful, I assume it would do damage, and even if not, they would fall, giving you a chance to attack during their lag.
And I'm positive Sonic will be in Brawl, whether I want him in or not doesn't matter. He's the number one wanted 3rd party, Sakurai haas already asked Sega (just not telling us their answer, for obvious reasons
), and Sonic is already going to be in another game with Mario http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_%26_Son...e_Olympic_Games

hmm, I don't really like this banana peel, they already had those mines in the game, but now they have banana peels that probably aren't as powerful and you can see them, you'd have to pretty stupid to walk into one, unless you can actually throw them at people...

Yeah, he doesn't understand. It's not your post count, it's MAKING YOUR POSTS COUNT!

Actually, that's that pit stage (ruins) that was in the second movie. just a different view... Or it looks like that
Also, for all you people complaining about zelda's hair, she actually has more of a blond/brown streaks look in Twilight Princess, and did anyone notice that most nintendo females have blond hair?
And now, for something completely relevant...
Music Rant!
Personally, I love the Zelda Theme, but I personally think that their choice of artists for the compositions are majorly flawed.
Why use the guy who worked on wild arms for a zelda remix, when you could, say, use the guy who worked on golden sun, or maybe even the guy who worked on NiGTHS?
Honestly, I can't wait to see what they're gonna do, but so help me God if Arata Iiyoshi (BeatmaniaIIDX) is just doing sound effects, I will have a bone to pick with Sora Ltd. I love how they got so many composers to work on this, but it could go wrong if they use the wrong ones for certain music.

Intellegence shows that In combat if a banana is thrown when an enemy is dashing towards you, it can temporarily disable your opponent. Now get out there soldier and give him the 'slip'

Say wha"? Actually, it seems that he was the "supervisor" which means he practically just went and said, "ok, sounds good". Michiko Naruke was the arrangement supervisor, so maybe he did the work on it? But I don't really know, maybe it was a group project?
All I'm saying is that the big guys should do the big music, while the lesser known musicians should do the sound effects or something. But then again, that means my Beatmania IIDX style music would be tucked in the back corners of Brawl...

Apparently, you'll be able to change button configurations. And your configuration will be assigned to your name. Pretty cool.

Very cool update we got today. Button configuration is going to make thing interesting that's for sure. I don't know if I'm going to like having to have your name for every battle personally, but I'll get used to it. I just prefer to play without names.

Lol. I always use my name, to track my stats. The only thing higher than my ko's are my sd's
anyway, custom button configuration's a big thing. Think about it. It will no longer be talking about "do you use x or y to jump?" but rather, "hey, wanna talk about mapping? What is your setup like?" This could turn out to be very helpful, but I don't know... I like the controls as is but I might find a few adjustments to make
Also, We overlooked a few menu things. One, it looks more light and pastel based, like in Kirby Air Ride. We can only have four letter names again (I was shooting for 6, but that could get too distracting) and they are far enough in the development that they had to blur out the rest of the characters. That's good news for us because that means they are moving along swimmingly.

I don't think they're saying you can change z to jump and y to grab, but rather it will save which controller you want to use (wiimote, wiimote/nunchuk, classic, or GC controller), so that you don't have to set it up every time you play.

See what I did there?
Nope. Read on :
This time, names are extremely important. That’s because we’ve included personalized button configurations.
We’ve made this game compatible with four different controllers:
Wii Remote(turned on its side),Nunchuk(Wii Remote+Nunchuk),Classic Controller,GameCube Controller
You can change button configurations for each one for each registered name, and alter those configurations any way you like.
Assigning personal button configurations each time you fight would be a bit of a pain...but if you just choose your name from the list, BAM! You get to play with your preferred configuration! There’s no waiting!
Button configurations FTW! WOOO!
