For all you who play rainbow six vegas how do you like the new patch?

I barley play that game but I might start up seeing that they made smgs less accurate finaly. Before the patch you could pop head shots easier by spraying a p90 then on single shot with a FAMAS or M8. Now this patch makes AR's a lot different, instead of bursting and hoping the bullets go in the right place the bullets hit dead target if you do single shot, which makes head shots harder in a way since noobs cant get a fluke spray head shot as easy.

I like this patch in some ways, but in other ways I miss having to do rapid controlled bursts to get a head shot.

Well anyway post your oppinion about this new patch.

I still prefer playing Rogue Spear, i'd play it more if the netcode and a few bugs were fixed.. Something about the movement just feels right. I've been meaning to try the latest Vegas patch though but I just don't have any expectations for it anymore. Would be awesome to see a Rainbow Six port to either the older Quake/Unreal engines. But if the latest version is a lot more stable i'll definately check it out sometime.

the patched bummed me out 'cos you still get a shitload of n00bs glitching (especially on the rooftop in Calypso) and it hasn't fixed the survival level-up cheat. apparently when the expansion/patch comes out at the end of the month it's going to reset most of the Elites to Specialists (there is supposedly some way they can tell who glitched their way to the top).

To tell the truth, I preferred the game before. There were less glitches with terrorists (they can now walk/shoot through doors) and the SPAS 12 was a lot less powerful (one shot kill at 20m? i think NOT!).

And aside from that, I always seem to get matched up against total n00bs.

I have to agree with revenge_on_EC1. The game was much better before the patch. Sure, you could get a kill with the P90 by spraying bullets at your opponent...but thats what that gun was made for. Hell, thats what all SMG's were made for. I just think they should have left the game alone because now they'll have to patch it again to fix all the crap they messed up with this one.

The SMG nerf sounds pretty sweet... But Ive only played the game at a friends house on Xbox live. I shall check it out .

Even tho some things were really unbalanced the game play over all was terrific... So Im not too sure I like the new patch now .

I didn't really care much for the patch. Although I do think the AR are a little better.

I just hope that the new maps comeing out are better than the maps that are out now...

I gave up on Ubisoft ever since they ripped me off and gave me an invalid CD-Key for Lockdown.

there's a few really decent maps available in the game now (i think anyway). calypso casino, streets, killhouse, LVU, Border Town and Dantes are all damn good. Then again, that is a small selection and the rest are all fairly cack.
does anyone know if the rumours of new ranks/weapons have any truth to them?

hell no. as far as i can see it's the most played game on xbox live at the moment. a few people defected to GRAW 2 for a few days...but they came back. ... ... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

i played this game with my friend, and there was this roof window . and the funny thing was: you can dorp a C4, snipe all the guards, make all the windows crack and they wont notice. but the very second that the glas breakes the guards start shoting at you. so basicly a good game with a bad AI.


btw i haven't played it on xbox live so i cant say that that part sux...
