Nope, in fact it might be good for those people. It's a complicated issue, which is the exact reason why I don't think banning porn and whatever will change anything for the better. It's an effect of the modern view of sexuality as a whole, which has been pushed by porn.

A lot of fundies and feminists etc who see the same problems, try to solve these problems with simple solutions, and I think they would all fail. I recognize the problems, and I have no idea how we would ever solve them, except from person to person.

It would most likely cause more rape IMHO. But the thing about all this is, that i have the philosophy that porn in itself is not bad, its the culture and some the the genres that lay with it. I mean hostely watching a man and a women have sex, or watching a girl do a strip tease is not bad, as Hrugnir said, It is the treatment they get, The rape, the abuse and the nurse dress up uber rape. I mean watching some women getting 3 penis's on her face in a school class room is not the best thing for children to watch. The morality and basis of porn in itself is not the problem. It is th porn culture that lies round it. I personaly think that pron should not be ban but it is a very serious issue.

It is very likely that something has happened to them to make them do this, sure it could be anyone, but a sierlrapist nearly always has a bad history of child abuse to them and other things making their life worse....

I don't think porn provides a release of sexual tensions. Maybe in the short run, but in the long run it hightens the sexual tensions and makes them more frequent. In short, porn is addictive. People with addictive personalities (like me) should avoid it like the plague. Porn purveyors know this and specifically target kids in thier teens (much like the tobacco industry) so they will grow up addicts and inject thier $ into the industry for life.

Porn doesn't encourage healthy relationships. I think kids who grow up on porn have a wierd outlook on life. When they find out that life isn't a big porno movie (ie. people don't just meet each other and have spontaneous sex and girls don't necasserily like to be splooged in the face), many of these kids turn to rape/abuse and other activities to 'feed the need.' Porn is also used by predators to lure kids.

I agree that sex education is lacking but porn isn't the answer. In fact schools aren't so much the answer, either. Parents are the ones that need to tell thier kids about sex. Granted past generations haven't been so good at it but I think we're getting better.

Did I mention I'm against porn? I am.

So soft porn is not all bad. But there has to be some way to limit the flow of porn via the internet to kids <18. There has to be more than checking a box and saying"Yes, I am 18 or older"...

If you drink by yourself, you're an alcoholic. If you watch porn with another girl, you're probably drunk already it's okay!

And I think it's sad that people watch porn with their partners, but that's just me. I wouldn't want to be excited by some random's woman's body just to "make the sex" better. That's a pretty egocentric way of looking at sex in general, when it's just about the individual's pleasure.

Certainly, I agree. I'm not saying to give them one side of the story (I suppose my example kinda looks that way). Lay it out for them. Ultimately the choice is thiers but with good guidance from a parent I think the child can make a much better decision, rather than the parent never being involved at all and 'Jimmy's' school buddy saying:" Hey, let's go look at porn, Jimmy. It's totally awesome!"
