That actually took place a while ago in my state of Ohio. I rember watching it on tv on the news quite funny.
And for everyone whos like "guns easy.. shoot point... I mean point and shoot"
You'd be suprised how hard it is. For me I've gotten to use to the recoil from a 9mm pistol. Basically if your 50 ft away from me I'll hit you everytime with a pistol. I really badly though want to shoot a sniper rifle.

Dude, have you ever even HELD a sniper rifle? It's a lot harder than you think. You have to look through the scope just the right way and keep steady and use your breathing patterns correctly and all that, and even then the scope is still a little shaky. It isn't easy to manage a sniper rifle, much less that shot the sniper performed.

My apologies, I thought you were saying it sarcastically. I too have shot a gun, got a couple ok groupings. What gun did you shoot?

you dont get long and short M16s, the carbine of an M16a1 (vietnam) is a CAR15, or the carbine of the M16a2 onwards is the M4a1 and other varients. 5.56mm armalite DMR rifles include the stoner rifle (knights armourments?) series and the SPR varients. The SR25 is a 7.62mm armalite DMR that works very well, i belive (correct me if im wrong) its a popular favourite among american snipers. Anyone know if delta are still using M21s for marksman rifles?
Then ofcourse you get into barret or M24 territory. American and english police both use the sig550 DMR, which (imo) is one of the nicest looking guns on the planet, other than anything made by H&K.

Well tbh Moset American MEU are using a M16A4 (m16A3 was a M16A2 with fully auto, while the M16A4 is basically a M16A2, but has a better scope, which led to the thought american soldiers where executing prisoner, when actually they knew how to use those new scopes. Unfortunatly most Army Reserves get stuck with the M16A2)
Then again your in the UK so I wouldn't expect you to know alot about american arms.
Also the sniper prefrence. My cousin was a sniper servering in Bosnia, Panama, and I believe also Somolia. He told me himself he prefered the M24, but then again he shot that, a M40 and a Barret only, and he thought the Barret was unnessesary firepower.
Also the M16A1 isn't really a CAR15 if you want to be picky, since the CAR15 had a retratable stock.

Well still the AR15s come with different barrel lengths so maybe that is what the guy meant when saying the long M16, like an AR15 with a 20 inch barrel rather then 16 inch.

Lol, that aside, I have seen the full vid. The sniper dude even talked about it, how he used patterning to figure out were to aim. He didn't just shoot the gun out of the guy's hand, he shot the gun into peices. For patterning, he said stuff like every few seconds he'd slump like he did and dangle the gun between his legs after taking a sip from his beer beside the lawn chair, and then after the gun blew into peices, the guy kept sitting there for a few seconds realising how fucked he is, then some policemen rush him and tackle him to the ground... and I mean, spearhead tackle. It was pwnage.
