POST EDIT AS OF 1-20-07 : TOPIC RETITLED "DIVISION: MOBILE GAMING" BY A NINJA MOD
Seeing as how this topic has now taken on a more official standing, I'm rewriting the topic post. The newly forming Mobile Gaming Division of the PPGA will focus on long range and hit-and-run assaults upon n00b strongholds. We need people who can get in, storm the front, and get out. Laptop owners should hit up internet cafes wherever possible. DS and PSP owners can take the battle to their schools if need be (there's something poetic about schooling someone in a place of public education), and finally we do need heavy hitting desktop owners for the ever so often LAN.
The Mobile Gaming Division is separated into three distinct branches, as have been described above. The 101st Regiment consists of laptop owners. The 102nd Regiment takes on handheld gamers; notably the DS and the PSP. The 103rd Regiment is for those who own desktops and can hit those LAN parties and tournaments. Whichever of the three categories most apply to you is where you belong, soldier. If you're capable of all three you recieve Specialist title within the Mobile Gamer Division. Just post what you belong in if you're up for the Mobile Division, and if you can do all three post that as well.
Member breakdown thus far:
Mobile Gamer 101st Regiment
SideswipeZulu (Specialist)
Mobile Gamer 102nd Regiment
NightmareX
Konflikt
slayer_1992
Kurøsan
Tr4y
Morra
n1kita
E-lixme
CursedBlad3
Admiral Perpetual
Kragnarok
Mobile Gamer 103rd Regiment
Komet
Virus52
Tendrax
IrishSpuds
JFFB
Continue to sign up and things will go from there. Scrims amongst the respective regiments should be arranged once in a while to hone the skills and prepare for the coming war. I forsee Metroid Prime Hunters matches alongside Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops for the 102. More ideas are welcome. One day, gaming gods willing, the 103 will be able to meet in the midwest and have the PPGA LAN-a-THON.
Hail the Gamer Army. Hoo-ra the Mobile Division!
End Transmission.

great start...but I now understand your concept. I think this would require I great many people in the army and a great deal of user organisation to meet up and just wifi around the place.

Could you imagine people dressed in DPMs walking round with laptops strapped to their backs and DS/PSPs in a leather pouch on their legs, running round with a knife (it's faster) and when they see each other getting one or the other up and having a battle.

The army is backing this idea! Excellent . . .
We'll need three divisions upon reading your posts. The 101st Regiment will consist of front line laptop gunners hitting hotspots and going deep into n00b territory. The 102nd Regiment will consists of DS and PSP owners performing guerilla attacks wherever possible and slipping away unseen. The 103rd Regiment will consist of desktops providing long range broadband support and storming the front at Lan parties.

Man, guess that means I've been a pre-102nd regiment soldier then. I constantly bring my DS Lite everywhere, converting people to the ways of gaming.
Dispatch me to the front lines!

I already tried that. He didn't even acknowledge my threat. :/
Seriously, I have to be 102nd or 103rd regiment. No laptop yet.
