Wii internet connection help

so im trying to connect my wii to the internet, i have a lan set up but i cant find the port on my wii for the network cable, the option for 'wired' connection is there and when i run the test it says no network cable found.

anyone know where this network port is icon_eek.gif

manual doesnt mention anything related to internet >.<

there is no network port built onto the Wii, to use wired or even wireless if you don't have a router, there are 2 options

1) i believe there is a USB connector that has an ethernet port on it for you to use the wired option

2) one i'm sure of that is listed under Wii accessories on nintendo's official store, the Wi-Fi dongle adapter that they made for the DS, i'm pretty sure that'll work for the Wii if you can't seem to find the option i listed above, do something searching, cuz you can pick up the wirelss dongle anywhere, the wired one not so sure where you can get it, never seen it anywhere

You can only go online wirelessly.

The LAN connector will come out in the US in January.

Non-nintendo adaptors dont work.

yeah ive got a wireless router, just prefer wired like the rest of m y home pc's
