quake 4 maps

I dl'ed a folder of quake 4 maps

there are 3 files of whcih are .pk3

now where do i put them so i can play them

You should be able to just drag-and drop the folder somewhere...what's the name of the folder?

Also, maybe google...I can't find the folder, either =/

the site you downoloaded it from should also have a help/FAQ section.

If so, you should know lol.
Anyway, right on your own sticky lol:

Map/Mod install/Shortcut
- extract map's to your q4base folder. (example (q4base\map_l4dm1.pk4)
- extract mod folder to your Quake 4 folder. (example \id Software\Quake 4\q4max)
- add +fs_game ModFolderNameHere (example , "C:\Program Files\id Software\Quake 4\quake4.exe" +com_allowconsole 1 +fs_game q4max )

you need to install the mod aswell and then create a shortcut which launches the mod. it's all there, use some common sence.

If it's a map for a mod, put it in the appropriate folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\id Software\Quake 4\q4max)

I\'m surprised nobody has told you, but .pk3 = Quake 3. .pk4 = Quake 4. You\'ll need to put the .pk4 files (if you actually downloaded the Q4 maps) in the q4base folder.
