If this is in regards to condemnation doctrine, "hell" and the doctrines that it formed, have already been disproven, even from a Christian standpoint. It was done by Josh Foreman, an environmental artist working on NCSoft's Guild Wars. I can post links if you want them. Yup. And the Old Testament was indeed a world different from the one in the New Testament, because Jesus hadn't died for us yet.

Fykusfire, you, and a lot of other people, make the idea of Hell seem much worse than it really is. I definitly don't think preachers or anyone should ever try to scare people into believing things, and I'm fully aware that people have done this. I have on many occasions said that the human race is sinful, hence neither Atheists nor Christians are perfect. Whether or not I believe in Hell doesn't matter, but I'm pretty sure it does matter to believe in God, and that's all I stress. No matter if non-believers go to Hell or to Purgatory/Gehenna/Sheol, which you've given *some* arguments for me to believe in, even though it's by no means PROVEN, we still both agree that it's a much better idea to go with God than without him, right?

Oh and, none of those gods you listed are real gods (because I didn't see Yahweh on the list) - many of them are famous demons, though.

Well, STFU, if you're an atheist they are obviously all fake. But [at least a vast majority of] those are mythical gods from ancient civilizations with polytheist beliefs. Also, many of those are the same person like Jupiter and Zeus etc.

MY OPINION: Religion is nothing but a great discussion topic. It's a way to live your life to the fullest, but so is the atheistic way. I choose to live my life, not believing in God, and as much is it seems idiotic, I'd like to stick to my own opinion.
Why am I still discussing it? Because as I've said million times before, I love religion as a debate topic. I LOVE IT.

To say that none of the gods are real except the God you believe in is hypocritical. Anyone that believes in one of the other gods could say the same thing. Btw, the Jewish god & the Christian god are the same god. The Old Testament is more or less the adapted version of the Jewish holy book. So Yahweh is the Christian god as well.

I think they could all be real, but instead of being separate entities... I think they're the same god, in different forms to different people, thus resulting in the confusion and creation of multiple gods.
