Yup. And the Old Testament was indeed a world different from the one in the New Testament, because Jesus hadn't died for us yet.
Fykusfire, you, and a lot of other people, make the idea of Hell seem much worse than it really is. I definitly don't think preachers or anyone should ever try to scare
people into believing things, and I'm fully aware that people have done this. I have on many occasions said that the human race is sinful, hence neither Atheists nor Christians are perfect. Whether or not I believe in Hell doesn't matter, but I'm pretty sure it does matter to believe in God, and that's all I stress. No matter if non-believers go to Hell or to Purgatory/Gehenna/Sheol, which you've given *some* arguments for me to believe in, even though it's by no means PROVEN, we still both agree that it's a much better idea to go with God than without him, right?
Oh and, none of those gods you listed are real gods (because I didn't see Yahweh on the list) - many of them are famous demons, though.
