The survery does sound about right, i'm pretty sure PS3 still has a bigger fanbase than the Wii despite everything that has gone on.

well i'm boycotting the ps3 even though being a die hardcore mgs fan. i'm planning on getting a wii some time in 2007 or maybe during christmas if i'm lucky. and anyway penn&teller told me that statistics are BULLSHIT!

Well statistics can be reliable if they're based on actual information on a 1:1 ratio. Polls where they ask 2000 people and make predictions in the millions are bullshit at the highest level.

Sure that's true but most people won't get the most out of the graphics. I don't think HDTVs are that mainstream yet. On 360 already there are games where it's impossible to read the text on SDTV and definetely nice high res graphics.

You're correct. The highest number I've seen for HDTVs among TV owners in North America is 13%. I don't know about other regions, but I was under the impression that this was either the highest region for either percentage or actual numbers.

17%? Maybe if it was 2002, I mean, all stores carry now are HDTVs.

I don't think people SHOULD make a huge deal about HDTVs. There not forcing us to play on HDTV. I think if YOU have a HDTV, its a good feature... i mean what else are you going to use the HDTV for? I don't subscribe to any tv programming (actully I HAVEN'T EVEN USED HD ON IT)

But 1080p is a littel far fetched. But if you have a tv, its not a bad feature.


I know that Wii allows Progressive Scan, how do you use it? I'm just curious. I think RE4 would have looked 100x better without the ANti-alist < sp.

iirc you hold down the b button when the game is starting up. for gamecube.
