According to the study by Los Angeles based Interpret, 8.9 million U.S consumers ‘are prepared’ to pay full price ($500 or $600) for the PlayStation 3 this fall, compared to 5.7 million consumers who are willing to buy Wii at $250 and just 800,000 people who are willing to pay full price for Xbox 360 ($300 to $400).

Those resultes seem like complete BS to me for sony to beat out microsoft by that much anyways.
Only 800,000 willing to buy a 360? They sold twice that many just in 2005 alone, dumbasses....... that research company = fail.

and also the xbox 360 has been out for a year, anyone who is going to buy would have already bought it. Of course a few people will still buy it.

The price probably wasn't much of a deterrent. It's not something that will stop kids pestering their parents for one.

You'd be surprised to see how many people are gonna wait for Gears of War or Halo 3 (or another hyped block buster). Really, once H3 is out 360 sales will skyrocket, and I exspect the same (on a smaller scale) with Gears Of War.

I think winter 07 will be a intersting year. PS3 will prob have FF13 and MGS4 and Xbox 360 will have Halo 3. Nintendo will already have Super Smash Bros Brawler and Prob a unveiled title they will show at E3 this year.

We shall see.
