I'm a big fan of the FF series. I'd say I like the older ones defenitely, not even so much the older ones, just the ones for Ps1 and before. XII I didn't like too much. I'd say VIII was my overall favorite but of course I, IV,VI...well I like them all in a sort of way, except for II I wasn't a big fan of. But yep FF is a great series, that I personally think has past its prime. But I still enjoy the games that are worth remembering.

I thought Advent Children was okay. I thought the story was...okay. It was pretty cool to see all of old characters though. And the cgi was pretty good.

All you need are Aeon overdrives + Bio from lulu.. It just took forever to get all of the aeons ready
I actually ended up not even using bahamuts (SP?!) overdrive, but they add did 9999 damage anyway
But yeah, now I'm @ yunalesca (SP!?)

I've played all the numbered series except for 11 (hate mmos)
Haven't played a single remake (I want the Tactics remake tho)
Only sequel I've played is dirge of cerberus

I don't know why I like 10 so much.. I just finished it again, and like the whole last 3 hours of the game are boss battles.. REALLY HARD BOSS BATTLES.

I liked:
FFIV
FFVI
FFVII (even though it's HIGHLY over rated)
FVIII (my favourite)
FFX
VI is obviously the best. A little rough getting into it, but it really is the best.
I just think people push Final Fantasy VII as the best one FAR too much. It wasn't even THAT great.
I really think VIII is my fav. because it had better development of characters, better FMVs, and I really liked the Junction System. The down side was the constant summoning and the fact that I had to keep drawing stupid magic.

I think XII was a big mistake. It was different and refreshing...but a lot of it was TOO different. It's like a completely different franchise. Good RPG, bad Final Fantasy imo.

Well, I've played... II(American two, I think...The one where you're Cecil as the main),VI, VII, VIII, a tiny bit of IX, tiny bit of FFT, X, X-2, XII, and DoC.
II is actually my favorite, just cause it has a pretty good story. This is very closely folllowed by VI, then VIII, X, and DoC(Simply because it provided a good backstory, and gave Masashi Hamauzu some establishment).
Hated X-2, I felt like I was forcing myself through it, didn't even bother with the 100% tripe. VIII's junctioning was a bitch, especially if you don't draw a summon from some random fucking monster, and you're all "wtf? I wanted that one."
As for XIII, I'm more interested in the Versus XIII, haven't seen it mentioned here yet, don't think there's any released gameplay footage either.

Here we go, I have been wanting to discuss this all day,
Here I am replaying Final Fantasy 8 and it leads me to think that it is truly the most underrated Final Fantasy games out there. Not only is it a decent story line full of twists and turns but it is also the only Final Fantasy, and please tell me if I am wrong about this, that is fully customizable. With the junction system, you can give any player any stat, whether is be shit ton of health, full speed, fully resistant to and/or can absorb any element out there. Very early in the game if you work with the GF learning abilities and refining properly you can be nearly unstoppable for a good half of the game.
