i know there's alreaddy been a topic about this show, that was shut down coz of alot of unneccessary flaming, but since then i've recieved alot of PM's asking about when we were going to get this finished.
while i cant (unfortunately) give a date for being finished, what i can do is give you links to the trailers, and a brief synopsis for those who haven't alreaddy heard about it.

on a brief note, our director came up with the name before he was a PP forum member, and so didn't know about the popular n00bschool threads on the forum. we may well change the name closer to release

synopsis

there were 3 pro gamers, who were offered the challenge of being assigned a n00b for a week. one week of trainining later, all 3 n00bs would clash in a set game at the end of the week. episode one see's the introduction of the characters. i shall try to add more to this post if i can find pictures/profiles of everyone

helpful improvements that can greatly increase the show's production value.

A.) get a tripod when you do that zoom on each person- the camera is so shaky - looks really bad... tripods are cheap btw too - depends on what kind.

B.) Windows Media movie Maker?? use something else like Adobe... WMM is very embarasing. :\
C.) Ill find some more when you release the first episode =p

Is this meant to be a joke show or a real "documentary"-esque thing? If it's not meant to be funny, I strongly reccomend you take out the keyboard battles, push-ups, and meditation. I'll be waiting for more info on the show though, maybe just for laughs.

cheers all, its meant to be funny, we dont actually have any keyboard battles, the we clip of andy attacking lisa was actually just some banter while waiting for people to arrive. though it does make for an amusing intro piece

we do now have a tripod, and it is used throughout, where possible, we just didn't have it when we did the walking scene
i should be getting a copy of adobe premier tonight, however, its likely that the first one will be done in Windows Movie Maker (for shame ) because i'm to lazy to redo it.

note, there are no 'keyboard battles' and no characters have 'über micro'. or are there any 'BOOM HEADSHOT' statements throughought. we may do keyboard battles in the future, but probs just as a laugh. we wont do über micro stuff w/o permission from PP

C'tri, whacha wanna do is base it seemingly more on gaming. I mean, when was the last time that I, or any other gamer out there, had to do star-jumps or push ups in order to get skills?
Either attatch two old PC towers to some form of bar, or even just a PC tower itself and use it as a benchpressing weight. Etc etc. You know how the Game-humour sorta thing goes.
But I will agree with Sirko said, a tripod will totally improve the quality of the show.

However, I'm a tad confused - I know the plan is to take three utter n00bs and "whip them into shape" so to speak. But are you going for parody or documentry? Because there are currently way to many of both - my opinion is combine the two and create a doco-parody. Where it actually seems like a documentry where you seek out advice from "pr0's in teh field" and whatnot. etc etc etc.
Maybe, google or youtube for something like "Real Stories" (A roving production) - a parody show based on things like ACA or Today Tonight. And it's fresh, funky and somewhat funny.

Aside from that, don't be afraid to pioneer dude - if it aint been done before, doesn't mean that its a failed cause
I originally hated, no - dispised, the concept of "n00bschool". I dunno, it's kind of growing on me - and as long as it isn't just some cheesy and dodgy thing just to prove how "computer high tech" or "zomg teh pr0" you are, it should actually grow on others too.

hmm, we hadn't considered the tower/bar idea...
and the star jumps/ bench pressing-ness will be explained in the show, the core concept behind it made my sister laugh

Dude what the fuck are you doing that is so cool? Have you made a badass internet show that we dont know about to compair this one with? Yeah I didnt think so.

We should encourage people to try new things and to push the limits that others may have set for them.

Get a better camera.

Don't use Windows Shit Maker.

Make sure to do better editing begining of scenes sometimes we see the actor look at the camera and waiting for the signal.

well, yeah, that happens a bit, but then its all of us in the show's first time doing anything like this, so we're all pretty n00b at it.
a better camera would cost more than £200, which is money that, as a poor student, i dont have. i think the 1st pp cam they used was around the same as the one i have, its just that the trailers are youtube'd and so of inferior quality.
and what scene's are these? as far as i know they're the only pieces of n00bschool on the net, and whats there is either sliced out of the actual thing, or just amusing improv's that happened.

Well, it's just some minor editing really. Like at the start when the starwipe (btw, WHY starwipe?! it raeps mah eyez!) comes up wit "teh pr0s" and you three are just...standing there for 2-3 seconds before reacting and walk.
I'm lookin over it now and its actually building up quite a bit of hype now... You three better deliver. lol

Well if its the first time you make videos, well you should wait man.

The thing is if you really want to get popular with this. Is get more talent. Like you see I make movies but I never put them on the internet I keep them for myself and it helps me make better movies and when I will be sure that I made something great perfect. I might put it on the internet, but when your talking about your first project chances are you won,t get the fame you want.
