perhaps you could TELL us this price limit?
regardless, it is a rather poor motherboard. ud want one with pci-e at least. then ud probably want something that can later be used for c2d, such as a 965 chipset

You arent very clear with what you want, what processer do you plan on using? You sure you want DDR and not DDR2 RAM?
Anyway I think this would do much better than the one you selected, but im not really sure (im still a noob).
It supporst DDR and PCI E, But no C2D.

That mobo is LGA 775. AMD does not use that socket, AMD have their own socket types, such as 754, 939, socket A, 940 (for opterons) etc. Only an intel will fit in the board you posted. Go for an asus or gigabyte board, anything else is a risk. The mobo you linked is also shit, the FSB is maxed on 800, which is fine, 939 AMD boards go to 1k FSB, not sure about newer ones supporting 1600 fsb.
If your on a tight budget, I suggest a AMD 3400+ clawhammer core, or 3200+ clawhammer.

he already has DDR and a p4. he seems to just want to use his old stuff with a new mobo, and i see no reason not to get one with pci-e...

AGP/PCIe boards generally are bad, and that fact that the brand isn't well known(to my knowledge) and just PCIe/AGP board suck.

I just threw something together quickly
CPU $139.99 CAD
Mobo $101.99 CAD
RAM $63.97 CAD
This way when you get more money you can upgrade to conroe and get better RAM.
Motherboards with DDR will really hold you back because there are no boards that support C2D and DDR.

I'd do what bob said but push the board up a bit (965 chipset - you won't regert it.)

he meant that board that has agp and pci-e in the same time are shit, they are mostly made by low end brands, and the pci-e slot doesnt even run at 16x.

Ahaha... a 3800+, 4GB of ram and a 7600GS? Good one.
Care to rethink that?

LMFAO $600 of ram. My gf's comp cost less than that and it'll get more FPS than that build will.
