Look at the battle between teh_pwnerer and teh_masterer. There was Micro style, console style, arcade style, etc. So for a console it's just "console skills."

only micro in RTS. FPS doesn't have any and neither does MMO. Console has micro but only in games like SC and stuff like that. It's not about pressing buttons or any weird shit it's about managing things so it doesn't matter if yiou're using voice commands or a touch screen or a keyboard or noobstick.

Every specific genre and gaming platform has it's style and skill sets but not all of them have names.

Micro in console games is just as a different style. Like being able to wave dash in Super Smash Bros Melee, executing combos in any fighting game, etc.

In fighting games, I guess we just call it execution. It's not nearly the same as micromanagement, though. It's a different thing altogether.

On the contrary, some MMO's require Micromanagement (as is the non-abbreviated word of micro) especially healer classes etc.

Well I guess I dont get it then. Since every other gaming style gets their own form of 'uber micrio', why then is FPS excluded? Cause it's more entertaining to give doug a gun in the show. Dont say its cause we only push wsad, i use over 30 keys in my fps gaming. I dunno.. im not real worried about it... just think its kinda the suck ...

You don't even have to use your keyboard to micro.

I'm not saying FPS and console games don't take skill, because they do, I'm just saying that they don't take micro in the way that it's supposed to be defined. Of course some random guy decided to add this into the wiki entry "However, many Role Playing Games and First Person Shooters are developing more advanced hotkey layouts, allowing these genres to develop their own micromanagement skills." It isn't really true, because no matter how many fucking keys you hit in a millisecond, you aren't microing unless you're commanding more than one person. a squadleader or commander / guy who calls strats in CSS / Raid leader has more micro than someone who runs around by himself and mashes wasdfzxcvbnmlkfjtoyipeoriu as fast as he can. Microing is about commanding people to do things that maximize damage and minimize casualties. If the people you command don't have to follow your orders, or you're only commanding yourself, you're not microing.
