Question about endgame Pally duty

Hey, I've got a 59 priest and hes about to hit 60. I wanted to start another character, so i started a pally cause..i dunno, they looked interesting. Anyways, I want to know what a pally does at endgame. Is it just another spamheal, no-dps-or-tanking, and just sit-in-a-corner-class, or will I actually be getting down and dirty all up in an enemy's face, doing mad dps in raid groups?

Blessings and heals. Minor dps (what little dps pallies attempt) and tanking takes place.

They can off tank the non elite mobs as long as theres < 2 of them. It really is a sit in a corner/spam heal class end game. Priests are better DPS/tanks then pallies.

Yeah, I'm a priest and I tank all the time. Sitting there with my flimsy cloth robes, soaking the damage... that's the life.

Don't create a Paladin if you're planning to do end game raids with it

IMO, Pallys get treated like crap, all they do in raids is heal, cleanse, buff CONSTANTLY (to the point people get highly offensive at you)

That's stupid. I think paladins should get to be up there fighting too.

yeah i dont know wat u guys all do with ur pallies, but i get TOLD to off tank in raids...also it hink its rather funny wen people insult me for spamming them with sleanses and buffs so i just stop...

but anyway, if you want a tanking class that can still spell cast get a druid...no wait, they r just like pallies...nvm

So have 3/4's of the WoW Pally community for about 2 major patches now, and what did blizz do about it? (check talent preview for BC) They gave them more healability!! YAY!

EDIT:
pallies are nothin like droods, firstly the playstyle is completely different, scond droods are tweaked and a good class, pally's are broken and in need of a fixing, u guys could be so much better.

I agree, with the new expansion, Paladins might even be allowed to off tank icon_surprised.gif

Hope so, they deserve a lot better.. they're a damn good class when played properly.
