You can never truly quit gaming as other have said. You can only become a casual gamer.
Gaming is an addiction like drugs, alcohol, or smoking except gaming has absolutely no negative consequences..........right? icon_razz.gif

Anywho, ye i started with console games liek 15 years ago icon_razz.gif, i'm a PC gamer and most of the games suck, and old ones whihc are good i managed to finish in so many ways (not only GAME OVER ways icon_biggrin.gif) and i'm bored of em.

About my lingo, ye i have my own gaming lingo so quit nagging n44bs icon_razz.gif

Last game i rly played was a MMO, then i tried to play fps again, got my skill back and i got borred of it (ye multplayer).

And i was talking about quiting gaming like a pro, u can never quit gaming in general.

And as a casual player i would like some game to grab my attention, unlike all the "lets make Some_Game 341 it will be completely different from Some_Game 340" icon_biggrin.gif

There is no way to quit. It will allways be there, stalking, taunting, suducing you until you either pop up a game on your computer or console

Yep, it's an addiction.

Lol. Same here - to the point that I may actually try to go professional starcraft within 2-3 years.

I temporarily quit playing Counter-Strike Source to get good at Starcraft. I booted it back up a few mins ago. The usual effect:

I dunno why, but this happens a lot, if I donīt play an fps for long time I pwn at it the day I get back icon_razz.gif

This is exactly what has been going on through the entire thread, and it's not the first time either.
You come to us for advice..you just spell out what you want to get, and then ask us if it is okay, and we have to explain why it isn't. That's the world upside down.. If you would just say 'hey guys, I have an X amount of money, what should I buy?' Then this would be over in 2-3 posts, not 2-3 pages.

I stopped gaming in the middle of my senior year of high school.
It affected my brain, yes. In fact, I felt dumber after I stopped playing games. But, I noticed people more. I was a lot less numb to my surroundings.
It's been about two years since I stopped. I think it was a good decision. I wasted an inimaginable amount of time on games. It's like being trapped inside a world within yourself.

I had to resituate myself. My foundation was gaming. It was the glue that held me together. After I threw it out, I didn't feel grounded anymore. It was hard. But it was worth it. A growing experience indeed.
I'm really not interested in games anymore. As will probably be the case with you if you do quit.

Being at a university, there are plenty of things to do. Take advantage of them. Get real memories.
