Battlefield 2 special forces problem

i have just bought battlefield 2 special forces and when i try to start the game up an error message pops up and it says:''mods/bf2/shaders/lightning.fx not found!!!_DO_check your working directory,_AND_sync your shaders folder before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP.(really!)'' what the hell is going on here?!

Heyyo,
i figured it out i had to extract shaders client in bf2 mods to shaders! Sweet stuff, don't forget after you do that to deleted your my documents\battlefield 2\mods\bf2 cache folder. It'll reoptimize and run a little better.
Now, I dunno if you know how returns work on software... you don't get a whole new box, they exchange cds, and done.. well, maybe wall mart does actual full exchanges since they usually do if the same product isin't available.

hehe... this is all completely dependant on where you live... where i live, they exchange a bad copy for a new one... and they dont even bother opening it for me...
so if i ever want a game, and dont actually feel like paying for it, ill buy a copy, open it, copy the discs and cd key, return it w/ some bogus claim, get a nice unopened copy... wait for a week or so, and take the new one back unopened... the recepts they have actually say it was given out as a return, but i claim i lost and just ask for the money in store credit (cuz i usually end up buying something anyways)
... and opening up a brand new copy just to give you new cd's sounds kinda stupid... its not like they can resell a cd key, so they might as well just give you the new box

This is a common problem. It has nothing ot do with your CD. Same thing happened to me.
All you need to do is reinstall the 1.3 patch for BF2. When you install Special Forces, it reverts BF2 back to an older, out-dated verion. So, if you reinstall the latest patch, everything will be good.
Why did EA make Special Forces do this? Because it's EA... and EA can suck Jeremy's balls.

i know what your saying... but hey thats entertainment for some of us. (playing a game that has lots of bugs,glitches and takes alot of system resources and crashes alot)
oh and the hole solution was uninstall both games reinstall both and patch battlefield 2 to 1.3.. i arrived at my home at 9:30pm by 10pm i had my new lcd monitor hooked up and new mouse,joystick also, then everything just happened and i was finished with everything running by 12:30am.. stayed up till 2am playing both games.. not what i expected but.. w/e

EA suck balls , maybe...but they do make some fun games at least i have enjoyed BF2 for a long time now

Special Forces could have been so good. You have to wonder why they made it an entirely different game altogether though. I hate that I cant use all my unlock on it, I hate that I cant go from Strike at Karkand to Warlord without reloading the game. Its freakin stupid. And dont even get me started on the EuroForce booster. Worst 10 bucks i ever speant. The sad thing is that EA games is making mad bank off of these awefull updates.
