the thing is, the person that bought it COULD make more money than he bought it for.
consider gold farming and selling?
it's a good investment in the long run, if you're willing to work that hard.

i sold my first three DAoC accounts for 200, 400 and 300... lots of people sold other ones for alot more, but mine only had one or two 50s on each. even now DAoC accounts can go for as much as 700, i think that was what i saw one at before i left, it had alot of 50s ML10 and all that though....

personaly doesnt that ruin the game? ( I dotn play mmo's) but isnt half the fun trying to level up your character and learning new skills and stuff? id rather get to level 60 and earn all that stuff myself and have a sence of acomplicment then go spend an amazing amount of money and have no clue what i was doing.

Fairly basic, as soon as you pay you change the password. And contact info, in case he tries to change it again
2 Problems:
1) You need to call blizzard and shit to change ALL the contact info (i.e. Phone Number/E-mail)
2) If you have the original CD key, you can get your account back even if the info has been wiped.

Oh sure.
Instead of working hard on your own char, be lazy and a buy a couple. Waste of money if you ever come across a person who bought their char, flame them to the ground.

I sold my Star Wars Galaxies account after NGE for £200 0.o
Selling MMO accounts is a good way of getting rid of what you do not wish to return too.

Yeah, I'm thinking about ebaying down the road. I'm sure my account will be worth a lot too, I have a BWL/AQ geared Druid, an MC/BWL geaered hunter, 2 58s (warrior/rogue), and a 48 that will be 60 most likely along with those 58s if I ever ebay.
Wonder how much I can get 800+ I hope...

LVL 60 takes a REALLY long time, for those of you that don't play. And then grinding PvP rep or running instances over and over for phat lewt takes forever as well. If you played 6 hours a day, I think getting up to Tier 3 loot/Exalted PvP shit would still take at least 4 months AT THE LEAST. Some people are lazy and want to just get straight to the awesomeness, and if they're willing to blow a bunch of money on it, who's complaining?

Emo is dead. It died a bit after grunge did, anything after Rites of Spring is "SceneXCore" crap.

Anyone who would buy a WoW account is completely and totally retarded. Half of the fun is leveling up.
