Check out the main pure pwnage page.. there is now a subtitles section.

We will post english subtitle files as they are finished. You can go ahead and grab them and start translating into your own language. Please check with Roger Keenan (roger@purepwnage.com) to make sure that someone else is not working on your language. If you have already been asked specifically via email by Roger to do some translations, then you are the only one assigned to that language. If you have been asked and cannot do the translations, then please let Roger know so that he can assign someone else.

Hey guys,

We are looking for people to translate dialogue from the show into various languages (especially French, Japanese, and Korean). Eventually we would like to make subtitles available in as many languages as possible. If want to help us and you are fluent in a language other than English (and familiar with the gaming lingo in that language) then please reply to this thread or PM me your email address so I can get a list of translators going.

not sure how we are going to do the sub titles.. there are a few programs out there.. we will probably just need the translated text for now.

Kyle, you know sometimes when I download movies I get a separate subtitles file - and usually if you use a program like BSplayer it pics up those subtitles. It's nice because the subtitles are in a separate file and the main movie's separate so you won't have to waste all that server space with different language versions of movies.

yeah.. we are probably going to use vobsub, which stores the subtitles in a text file.. it would be very inefficient to use separate video files.

You can count on me to translate to portuguese, although it'll be quite a challenge to come up with something to translate the 1337 lingo to portuguese 'cause we generally use the "default" english speech.

Well I guess there are lots of Dutch to choose from so all I can say is English is my first language and I'm rather fluent in it, so count me in if needed.

It'd be hilarious if you suntitled the stuff jeremy says the way he would right it, well, maybe not hilarious. That stuff has been done before. :?

I know someone who knows japanese but I don't think he'd like this show nor would he feel like transalting.
