Starcraft. What the hell?

For a start the graphics are sickening. They're awful to look at and make playing the game (or attempting, should I say) rather uncompftable.

Secondly, what the hell do I do?
I started off on single player. I learned how to mine the ore that was around me, but what I did with my terrans was not so obvious. I grouped them together and set them off out. They patrolled the map fully and killed all the little pink things. Then I just went back to my base and waited. I don't know what I was waiting for; some kind of confirmation I had won? Some kind of sign of what to do next? I don't know.

Then I just closed it. To be very honest it was a complete waste of money.

I dunno man, the demo was pretty entertaining, I had to pwn up some zerglings. But my base was always getting attacked, so it was kind of obvious of what to do, lol.

IMO, the graphics are fine. Remember, this was made in, what, 1999?

SC does take a while to get used to. I got it last month and STILL fucking suck at it. I haven't won a SINGLE game out of my 25 or so I've played. But, hey, practice makes perfect! Well, almost...

and 2 the dude who got the game.. u obviosly have never played an RTS before.

the lil pink things are the enemy.. what u do is u make your scvs mine then u build buildings.. 1st.. a barracks.. then from a barrax u can build marines which are like soilders i guess. you use then to kill things since they are stronger. to win you must built 10 marines. It does say it, trust me. Give the game another go, you might get the hang of it.

And plz dont rate games on their graphics.. you get used to it quickly. Unfortunatly you obviosly have been brought up thinking games with good graphics are good games.. when very often they are not.

SC is the greatest RTS game ever because it's so balanced. But I do agree with you that it is overrated.

Koreans like to play SC and they totally pwn everyone with their skills which kind of turned me off it.

Only graphics matter! Also, you didn't win. You'll know when you won. Now gtfo my internet kkthxbye. Starcraft is the most balanced and great rts out there. Also... at least read the manual.

W0W at this thread. Obviously you're like a seven year old who doesn't know what the "Mission Objectives Tab" is and you probably can't read any game manuals either. SC is the most balanced RTS of all time and is the gaming equivilent to chess. If you couldn't handle "killing those pink things" then you should go back to playing with legos.

And btw, "those pink things" most likely in the campaign were "purple things" aka zerglings because most of the time the enemy comp is the color purple. So not only are you ignorant, but you're also color blind.
