So what is everyone watching from the new anime summer season?

I've downloaded a lot of new series but I've only really watched a few of them so far.

Ookami-San, High School of the Dead, Occult Academy, and Seitokai Yakuindomo.

And yes FMA ending was awesome and I'm really sad to see the series end. One less Manga/Anime I get to enjoy on a monthly/weekly basis.

Thats a continuing series from last season. I didn't count them otherwise I'd have a bunch of other series on that list (DBK, One Piece, Fairy Tail, K-ON!!, Katanagatari).

Been watching High School of the Dead, it's pretty good beyond all the shudder worthy fan service.

Reccomend some more films to me. I prefer ones that have insanely good drawings like the ones above, hence why I haven't watched Flying castle yet.
Going to have a shit load of free time as I move to uni in 2 days, so help me out.

To be honest I don't really remembers which ones were good and which ones weren't but those three films are all Studio Ghibli so if you like them you should check out some other Ghibli films.

Laputa is still my favourite. Would definitely recommend that one.

Nausica was good too, as was My Neighbor Totoro.

Just watched High School of the dead an my thoughts on it are simple: Fuck this shit.

Seriously this is the most boring-unoriginal-cliched-by the book zombie crap. It brings nothing new an just uses every know zombie cliche out there. The characters aren't even developed and exist solely for giving boners to 13-15 year olds retards, the action is lame, the dialogue bites, the characters are just steryotypes, and the story simply blows. I sick and tired of these zombie stories where they don't explain from where the zombies came and we just have to accept that their here. Ya know what? Fuck you, I had enough of this. Either think of a reason the zombies came or fuck off. I mean Zombieland gave an explanation that it was a simple virus that mutated.

I love all the Studio Ghibli films... Watched Ponyo earlier this summer and it was pretty good... Althou I felt it was a liiitle bit to much save the planet crap in it...

The only problem I've had with the show is the fan service, other than that I love it. I don't see why you need to know why there has been an outbreak, it's not like any reason they give could be realistic so why does it even matter? I think it adds more to the show since you're just as bewildered as the characters. Also, I don't see how the action is lame at all, it's pretty graphic and fast paced, what else could there be? I think it's a fun show to watch, although I would say you can get a pretty good feel for the show just by watching the first episode so if you hate that then I'm sure the rest of the show won't be much better for you.

It couldn't hurt to watch the first episode Yozki, maybe I'm just easily entertained, but I'm loving it, and not because of the girls. IMO the show just gets better, so if you think the first episode is decent perhaps keep watching.

Ya know, I might not be the type. But I just like some SORT of explanation as why these zombies appeared, it just feels like lazy writting George Romero usses, only he shoves zombies so he can drill messages bout society into our skulls. I know if they gave me a reason it woulden't be a realistic. But I would still like a reason, hell Night of the Living Dead had zombies because a sattelite fell down, and the radiation from it 'caused the zombies to awaken, it was stupid as shit. But, I could accept it as a reason for zombies appearing.

Plus, the action isn't all great it's frankly boring and not gory. Honestly, I've seen better gore in the Hellsing OVA's. But honestly, I could have forgiven this series if they 'tleast had good characters OR dialogue. An sadly this doesn't have neither, I mean these characters just play their steriotypes and that's it. We have the 'hero' who unsure of himself being the leader, we have his love interest that he will eventually fuck down the series, we have the fat nerd kid who looks like a dolt but specializes in weapons, we have the samurai chick who follows the code of the warrior, we have the busty an dumb doctor girl (who by the way, has the biggest tits sinse Pamela Fucking Anderson) and finally the know it all rich snobby bimbo. I mean this is all that we get, all ya need to do is start placing bets which one will die in what part of the series. An the dialogue here is just simply buttfuck stupid, I think the crowning moment is when the main hero talks to the samurai chick, an she say's she gets orgasms and wet when killing people. Seriously, not even Paul Worthless Shit Anderson would write something THIS retarded with a straight face.
