Anyone else planning on catching the worlds most technical death metal band live? I believe they are currently in Austrailia, but are planning on touring Europe, USA, and Canada in this tour. I will be attending the gig in Saint John New Brunswick on September 29th.
Who else will be seeing the likes of Flo Mounier and Lord Worm? -------------------- ![]() |

With Mike Disalvo(sp?) doing the vocals on the last few records everyone was calling them grind, but Lord Worm is a death metal vocalist period. I think they are back into death metal personally, but calling them grind isn't completely uncalled for.

i dont know for me i consider grind not only the deep guteral vocals, but also technical drumshit and multi backbeats. i just dont like that style, and the vocals sound shity to me.

Yep, I saw them 5 days ago. Totally insane. Lord Worm is a man possessed when he comes out. And they stopped in the middle of Denfenestration for a five minute drum solo. Unbelieveable. About half the people in the crowd were shaking their heads, me included. Flo is.. I don't know. Awesome. They're good with the crowd too, even if the rhythm guitarist is a bit of a wanker. Lord Worm is good with the crowd and went across the front of the stage a few times, shaking hands with people. Unfortunately some hot blonde girl up the front got all the stuff (two setlists, two drumsticks) and I just missed out on a drumstick. Still, excellent show. And they finished with Phobophile too, which was great.

There are two versions of Cryptopsy, the Cryptopsy with Mike Disalvo on vocals and Cryptopsy with Lord Worm on vocals. I don't think I'll get any arugments in saying that Lord Worm is the superior vocalist. "Whisper Supremacy" and "...And Then You'll Beg" are both crappy albums in my opinion, just because Disalvo does the vocals. The band sounds completely different with Worm, much better.
Hey Bullitt64, did they mostly stick to None So Vile and Once Was Not material? That would fucking kick ass. I can't wait for Slit Your Guts and Phobophile live, and of course Flo's drum solo. -------------------- ![]() |

Yeah, BMF is alright, but None So Vile is inarguably their best album, and probably one of the best death/grind metal albums ever.

Yeah it was mostly None So Vile and Once Was Not. I can't remember the exact setlist but the songs they played were Crown of Horns, Slit Your Guts, Phobophile, Defenestration, Abigor (for the ladies, according to Lord Worm), Dead and Dripping, Carrionshine, Adeste Infidelis, The Pestilence That Walketh In The Darkness & We Bleed. They played another song from ...And Then You'll Beg or Whisper Supremacy but I barely know those albums so I don't know what it was. There might have been one more from Blasphemy Made Flesh.
