the pistols and the ramones are classic.... and the misfits are punk. sorry man but i dont think you do like punk. most people think they do and then they hear a real punk band and are all like "this sucks they suck at thier instruments and do nt know how to sing". well thats what punk is love it or hate it. pop punk is differnt. nofx and family are pop punk.

Incorrect. The pistols and the ramones call them self punk, and it was, back in the day. You said yourself that misfits was punk. The correct name for NOFXs and Bad Religions music is punk-rock, but it all goes under punk. This is how it is if you dont claim to know more about punk than a pro punk-rocker with 23 years in the branch. I know what punk is man...
And could you please post some "real punk" bands.

not realy. im sure jonny rotten would be horrified to be classified in the same genre as afi or nofx. they arnt punk rock.

Punk Rock, Classic Punk, Pop-Punk are all a part of punk music.
Just like heavy metal, death metal, gore metal are all parts of metal music.

o god nofx are not hardcore at all come on. ur fucking killing me. they arnt punkrock they are pop punk just fucking shove it. would you like to listen to some real punk and compare and see for yourself? if so add me to msn and il send you some songs that are as i see it punk rock. hardcore is completely differnt then punk rock by the way. look im not trying to be an asshole but this is pissing me off lol.

yeah and so is emo. afi arnt actualy of the emo genre but if you listen to the actual music behind the band... and the lyrics... its very very close... and they are as much emo as they are pop punk
